Bob Seger or Steve Miller?

Question

Both Bob Seger and Steve Miller both achieved great success in the mid 70's. Bob Seger with his soulful style and Steve Miller with blues. One with his Night Moves the other being a Joker, Smoker and Midnight Toker.

Really enjoyed listening to both artists.

If I had to choose one over the other it would be Bob Seger. Well penned songs and a more upbeat style that I prefer.

Not a huge fan of either........both put out some good stuff. I like listening to "Fly like an Eagle" on my stereo because it was recorded very well...........

Listening to sb boot of Steve Miller from Vegas 91 now.Great stuff.And dont get me wrong i&#x27;m fond of Seger, but compare both bodies of work, no contest.

def tough choice. have to go with seger. seger has more songs on the radio here in vegas. i don&#x27;t own any of their albums. don&#x27;t know why

Miller. Fly Like an Eagle was Rolling Stone mag's album of the year in 1976, and the 1977 followup Book of Dreams was largely composed of leftover material during the Eagle recording sessions. When songs like Jet Airliner, Jungle Love, and Swingtown are scraps of a previous session and make the foundation of an A-rated album in itself, you're on a roll.

The song Fly Like an Eagle is still as cool and dreamy today as it was 30+ years ago. Timeless piece.

Fan of both but think Seger is the choice hands down.  Night moves and Mainstreet alone are enough. starting to rethink that the 90s were best era of music.

Funny, but Seger probably made the most money in his life when Chevy picked up his , "Like a Rock" tune in their commercials in the 90s.

The Stones received about 3 million on the Windows '95 launch from Microsoft though rumors stated a much higher return.
