First of all, hello Mugg and JMW, since I expect to see you two in here.
I was on the road today and grabbed Radio K.A.O.S. Forgot how much I love that CD. Especially the first 4 songs. I love Roger Waters' cover of the Beatles' "Across The Universe".
No secret I love Yes, but mostly the obscure stuff. I was thinking today that with artistic creativity that Roger Waters is just almost like a more masculine Jon Anderson.....
.........except Anderson w/Yes usually had the far superior musicians. Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, Bruford.....and assorted others brought in at times.Trevor Rabin (underrated as hell)
As far as Floyd goes, I love Dave Gilmour, but sometimes he just seems like he smoked that one bong too many and forgot that there was an audience that he was playing for.
Still think it's a tie up artistically, but Roger Waters is as cool as it gets......
Thoughts?
Oh shit. JMW, I downloaded a cover by Plant and Jimmy Page of the Cure's Lullaby. Cool shit...

Roger is cool...........he really plays to the audience. I love Gilmours' playing, but to me that's the big diff between them...........Roger plays with a lot of emotion...........David doesn't.
"Amused to death" is a solid CD. Check it out if you get a chance.
I've never been a huge YES fan, but I definitely like some of their work. I know I'll get lambasted for this, but the only CD of theirs I have is "Big Generator"............love it They are, IMHHO, one the most talented yet underrated bands ever. I don't know why I never got more heavily into them.
