Saw Jeff Beck open for SRV in Oakland once. At the end of the SRV show, Beck comes onstage with him, and they jammed. Then, Stevie Ray goes "Hey, we got a local guy to come out here and play with us" and then Carlos Santana walked on stage and the place blew up

Sorry covers brothers but i misspoke earlier. Buddy Guy was 79 years old NOT 89 when I saw him in 2016. No disrespect intended Mr. Guy.

Terry Kath was somebody who never got his just dues. He wowed that Fender like nobody else. Fukk the Chicago Brass, they dragged Terry down.

Kath never received his due and if he lived longer i think he would have, Chicago, if i remember put out 1 Chicago style lp after his death then headed straight to pop music.As fer git players if you have not listened to the Roy Buchanan &amp; Danny Gatton i saw the former and still kick myself for not seeing the latter considering he was born and bred not very far from me and often played at a little joint i frequented  Goose, assuming you missed Jimi &amp; Duane the ? is given the chance to be 20 again and having the chance to only catch one whocha choose.I know it would be tough for me, all things being equal and both shows were to be among their best i&#x27;d have to check out Jimi 1st, even though i think i would probably enjoy the ABB with Duane more. Kinda weird , huh.

This is the age old question that people have spent countless hours debating.  Page, Hendrix and Clapton - the grandfathers of rock.  Gotta add Stevie Ray to the mix.  Can&#x27;t forget about Buddy Guy and BB King.  The man in purple and high heels Prince.  And as for the youth movement (aka those under 50), John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Joe Bonamassa.  Add any of their music to your playlist, sit back and enjoy.

I grew up in Burbank, CA. in the mid and late 70's and my neighbor was Drew Forsyth. He was the original drummer for Quiet Riot. He would rehearse in his garage daily with his childhood friend who played the guitar. That guitar player, some say turned out to be one of the greatest ever, at least for the short time he was around.

Anyone know who I am talking about?
