It's weird, but I just don't like listening to music that much anymore. I really only listen to RUSH and AIC these days, and that's about once a week if that. My top 5 used to include Judas Priest and Iron Maiden and Duran Duran (quit laughing dammit.) But I really don't listen to them much anymore, though I still enjoy them and their albums that I grew up on. I just find myself not getting pumped by any music anymore and listen to sports talk all the time. Wow though, about 15 years ago I listened to White Zombie and Pantera like every friggin day lol...Loved those bands, just not enough material for me to keep as faves.

Hey $, amazing thing about RUSH, I never get tired of it and I wear it out. I bet I've listened to Subdivisions hundreds of times among many of their songs. I seen them twice last month (Vegas & Phoenix).
This band played 28 songs and didn't play the following:
Working Man
LaVilla Straingato
Leave that Thing Alone
Earthshine
Marathon
Red Barchetta
Animate
Mystic Rhythmns
Dreamline
Is that a deep catalog or what?
Some acts play about that many songs and and are out of there.
Peart is 60 years old and the other 2 are not far behind.

They really are incredible. And quite frankly, its mind boggling to think of how many songs they've had played regularly on the radio, that they can't even get to in a 2.5 hour show.
Funny that you've been listening to subdivisions so much, as I broke out signals this week. Never tire of it. Very strange that I don't.

Sprawling on the fringes of the city, in geometric order, an insulated border in between the bright lights and the far unlit unknown...
RUSH is HOF bound (ain't that about time). I believe it validates the HOF not them, they shoulda opened the mofo. Time Machine Tour is on VH1 as I typing this (saw that show twice as well). I hope they have another cd or 2 in them. I think 2 is asking a lot but you never know.
Speakin of Judas Priest, I saw them at Towson College in MD in 1980 or 1981. It was a week after the tragedy in Cincinnati where 8 people died getting trampled at a general admission show for The Who. Def Leppard was supposed to be the warmup but they scratched. Naturally, this was at a college hall and it was mobbed, the hallways were like 10ft wide and jammed with people, I still remember being concerned. It was a great show anyway, Priest was just starting to hit it big.
I like AIC as well, the new singer is damn good (saw them with Velvet Revolver in Phoenix 2007) and the new material is good as well. It's a shame Staley was such a lost cause due to heroin addiction, he was one of a kind, but I'm glad the band carried on.
