My main ipod, (the 80 gb) was on shuffle and it just pulled this rock classic  by them called "Stealin' "

This line at the beginning always just cracks my ass right the hell up!

"I done the rancher's daughter and I sure did hurt his pride"


I looked them up, and I guess these guys, older than hell (they must be) are still earning money on stage in Europe.

That's awesome. A lot of those old classic rock one or two hit wonder bands are absolutely worshipped in Europe. Uriah Heep, Nazareth,  Golden Earring ... still draw a decent crowd.

Hey gods. . Alice Cooper is huge over in Europe too. Saw a show of his recently. His music is a lot harder than what you might expect.

Some of that stuff is just entertaining as hell when it pops up.

Yes, they did do that song. I just went on you tube and saw the old video from MTV. You tube is awesome because you can go and see all the music with the videos, bringing back memories.

Hey dennis, I've got some gems you might like to add: On The Loose by Saga; Sail On, Sail Away by Moxy; The Four Horsemen by Aphrodite's Child; Two Hangmen by Mason Proffitt; Say What You Will by Fastway; Children Of The Sun by Billy Thorpe; Lake Shore Drive by Alliotta, Haynes, Jerimiah. I'm into a lot of the same stuff you are. Those are just a few of some more obscure songs that are great.

Yeah, man ... they LOVE Alice.

I just remembered another one. When I was in Germany a few years ago, it seemed like every bar or party I went to, they'd play that "Black Betty" song by Ram Jam. Friggin' Germans would go absolutely batshit for that song.

Dennis, I can second the recommendations for Fastway, Billy Thorpe and Aphrodite's Child.

I'll have to check out the others ... I've never even heard of them.

Sagas On The Loose tune was really big my senior year in high school.

Children Of the Sun was cool too.

It was my older sister, I used to get her old albums.  Easy Living was my favorite.  Funny Shit,Hop.

The intro to Say What You Will by Fastway was one of the first guitar riffs I ever learned.
