Anyone get this or Sirius? I like XM. Much more to the point and targeted than regular radio.
Anyone have a favorite channel. I like Lucy Channel 54. 90's alternative. Basically my college soundtrack. Alternative rock of the 90's was some good shit. To bad it died in the 00's. U2, REM, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Nirvana, Violent Femmes, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Green Day, Soundgarden, Bush, Oasis, Garbage, Pearl Jam, Live, Morrissey, Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Stone Temple Pilots, Sponge, Porno For Pyros, Weezer, Gin Blossoms, Ministry, Radiohead, Placebo, Beck, The Cranberries, Toadies, Better than Ezra, Collective Soul, Goo Goo Dolls, Faith No More, and on and on and on.

I TOTALLY miss the shit out of Sirus. I can't get it up here in Alaska. I listened to it all the way up through Canada on our drive up from New York and it went out right as we were driving into Alaska. I was totally freakin' bummed.
186 - hardcore sports channel rocked, the Grateful Dead channel (personal favorite of mine), the Jam channel....man do I miss satellite radio. I freakin' loved listening to all the sports they'd broadcast as well.

Terrestrial radio is garbage...... same ole crap... its bad enough that they play awful stuff but they play it on such a sickening rotation... and the slim slim chance a new song is actually playable and decent they jump all over it like a bunch of person and play it non-stop making the song basically unlistenable after 2 weeks. How many times have you switched the radio from one shitty song to another station playing the same shitty song... then you put on yet another station playing a commercial thinking... well hell... rather listen to a hard dick pill commercial than that fing song again... then of course they get off commercial and play that same god damn song... hahahaha
SiriusXM better make it !!!!! C'mon Mel ... make it sustainable for us sattelite junkies!

I noticed a long time ago how radio stations around here (Canton, OH) play the same shit every day, and if you listen to one station for a couple hours you hear the rotation. It's a shame too because there is so much good music out there that just doesn't ever get played. Growing up I was a huge KISS fan, and the majority (I would venture to say it's somewhere around 90%) of their good music never gets played on the radio around here. They really have some great music that people never hear, and as a matter of fact, most of what hear of them on the radio is borderline garbage. Nobody knows such classics as Raise Your Glasses, I've Had Enough, War Machine, Spit, Keep Me Comin', Rock and Roll Hell... I could go on and on. And it's probably safe to assume that every band out there has released great stuff that you just never hear.
