who will b the favorite jj 5-1 or better   jr. and hamlin have won the most races here over the past 5 years with 2 each... jj has 0 but he hadn't won at pocono since 04 and look what he did yesterday!!!  i will b scared to play a toyota as they r cutting back on power again this week for durability   i would expect carl and biffle to b strong this weekend as they have the 1st and 3rd best average finish here and a win each over the past 5  years...  not sure of any1 i will b on for sure until #'s r posted..  1 sleeper pick could b ambrose both finishes last year were top10's and a top 5 and u know he is really getting pumped up 4 the race the following week at sonoma!!!  how about a call out to jeff burton yesterday almost a top 10 11th    as far as the n.wide can't wait 2 c what cup drivers r running it  will b on kyle and brad if they r both in it hope to get kyle at 3-1 or better...  bol 2 all

Be interesting to see if the oddsmakers adjust to the toyotas performance, because if kenseth opens at 10-1 or better ill have to play it. Brad will be another 1 ill be looking at.

Looks like Kyle,Joey and Menard will be running nationwide this week.

Will be on 2.  Hoping 20 odds are higher because of lack of HP?  Didnt hurt him too bad sunday.  22 if odds are right

know toyota is saying they r going 2 add some more power to there engines for michigan!!! if i was gibbs i would tell them 2 keep giving them what they were b4!!! i feel kenseth and kyle r n the chase 4 sure go for more wins and the only way hamlin will get in is with 2 wins he has to go 4 broke!!!!  the driver that should b a little worried is bowyer 3rd n points but no wins he cant afford blown engines!!!!

Yeah Im Kinda getting the feeling were making the toyota engine deal out to be a bigger deal than it should be.

Jj has never won at Michigan   It is the only track that NASCAR goes to twice a year that he hasn't won at yet!!!!!     Jeff has 1 track  left  tony has 2  and jimmy has 5   If Ambrose hadn't been a dumbasssss and shut his car off going up a hill jimmy probably would have never won a road course!!!!!

I like the Kyle pick Stats. We haven't heard from him in awhile, and anything 10/1 on Kyle is an auto play for me. Kenseth, Kahne, Kyle and Kes are my picks.

The mears vs labonte matchup is up on greek. Im actually going with labonte  The 51 is a better car than the 47 plus he will be plenty  motivated after losing his ride

The 51 is better than the 47?  Labonte will be motivated? I don't know if I would put my hard earned on that statement.  Here's a little insight my "insider" gave me.

By the way, my insider is my girlfriends Dad.  He raced Sprint Cars for a living for 25 years.  He knows most of the drivers and crew chiefs on a first name basis, and has raced against some of them.  Here's what he told me about the older drivers:

When drivers get past a certain age, they don't lose ability, or vision, or instinct.  They lose the killer instinct.  Instead of fighting for a top 5, they settle for top 10.  Five years later they don't fight for a top 10, they settle for top 15, etc.  He said that is what is happening to Labonte, and its started to creep in for Mark Martin (the guy is in great shape, but like he said...you can't be a killer forever).  Guys get grandkids, more perspective on life, etc...and all of a sudden motivation goes away. 

His best guess is that Labonte has top 15 talent, but not top 35 motivation, and his team knows it.  The 51 is a temporary solution and he gets a paycheck.

I don't want to scare you away from a wager you feel great about, but that's his point of view.  He's not right all the time, but he's right a lot more than he is wrong.  I'm most likely going to be on Mears, but GL either way Catdaddy. 

Anyway, that's my 2 cents...

First off I really appreciate your imput, and I completely agree that drivers lose there killer instinct and start settling for spots when they get older. I think gordon even settles sometimes.
