this is just what the houston backers thought yesterday and we all know what happened in that game, denver is playing great ball and they are way the better team.

on my site out out of 8000 bets 53%on dallas to 46% denver and i use to think the same that if everyone on coners was on one side i would go the other way but in these playoffs the good cappers when on one side have for the most part been right.

I'll be taking the team that's won 15 home games in a row and is playing with a chip on it's shoulder.
 
Any urgency for the Mavs created by the possibility of getting swept at home is gone.  You cannot manufacture that kind of intensity.  The Mavs avoided embarassment and basically have nothing to play for tonight.  They're not winning this series and they aren't beating the Lakers or the Cavs.  At some point in the 3rd quarter, when they're down by 9, this realization will set in with Dallas and the game will turn into a joke.

I would like to see a close game, but am not betting it.  I would have bet Denver at -8.5 but missed the boat and now it is -10.  I hope it is competitive.

One last point: 

If Dallas wins, it will be in a sqeaker, but the points that Denver is laying are irrelevant.  If they win, it's a blowout.  They are the best front running team I have ever seen.  The second they are up by 7 and start jacking up and hitting their low percentage shots, this thing turns into a 25 point rout.

With the exception of Game 2, Dallas has been in the game until late in the 4th. I see the same thing happening tonight. This line should not be 10.Dallas will win this game straight up

Interestingly, the game followed the same script as 1 and 2...  so maybe we can learn a little something from history:

close game into the fourth quarter, at which point Dirk is worn out from 3-4 defenders with 10-15 different looks.  not very inspired defense by Denver at the start, or in the early 4th, but enough the rest of the way to get the job done.

Denver still hasn't lost s.u. at home since mid-March, Dallas still doesn't have a quality road win since March. 

Dallas showed me more than I expected.  They ended the regular season with some heart, beat San Antonio, and could easily have made a series of this.  They were in the game with 3-4 mintues to go.  Denver's just better.  Can we agree on that?

Every single person on covers is overlooking this bullshit "Revenge" factor due to what happened in the stands. This is the NBA fellas, these arent highschool kids. Hey - I lost. The game was much closer than the final score. I am not making excuses, the final score prooved I was wrong, but hell of a fight for 43-45 minutes.
 
Denver is more athletic, bigger, more physical - but I thought the Mavs could stay within 10 down to the wire. I sure hope Dallas goes after some physical big men this offseason.
 
Haven't looked at tonight yet since I obviously have to re-load at BetJM, but we will see. At least my Rangers got the win last night in extra innings...got a little bit of my money back on the Hank Blaylock double in the 10th!
