mgmprofits Right, the "fix was in for the SPURS tonight".. so that missed goaltend which could have pretty much iced the match in regulation was called..Durant slapping Ducan's hand on the attempted slam was called and KD slipped purposely, it's true I saw Jason Kidd spill water on the court during the timeout...you clearly have zero sense of this game tonight. Fact is depth won this series, bench outscoring the other 51-5,and OKC's TO's lost them this game nuff said.

And Durant missing every shot in OT? How do you explain that? Or wait, he was 1 for 11....Lol...no way he's that bad. Nor is OKC. They had wide open chances.
You have to think about this harder....
The reason they played it out the way they did, was probably to get the in game bettors, especially people like me, who think it's rigged. They got em good tonight. They made it APPEAR OKC was the play at the end of regulation. When infact Spurs was the play the entire time.
But thanks for your response. I do know what I'm talking about. I admitted I was wrong tonight on OKC, does NOT mean I am wrong when I state the games are rigged. The games have been 100% proven to be staged. There should be no argument about that.

Game was rigged for OT possibly. I don't know if Ginobili missed that jumper on purpose...hoenstly didn't look like it, so I will admit it might not of went totally the way it was planned. But either way I saw the vision that it would go to OT.

mgmprofits GUY...KD is a great jump shooter, how does he go 1 for 11?..Well if you've ever played ball in your life, you would know what fatigue does. I don't care if he's young, when your bumping, grinding and seeing 40 minutes of floor night in night out, during regular season and playoffs, eventually the legs begin to tire resulting in missed shots. The SPURS were constantly fresh because of the production of the bench..Until OKC gets a bench they will continue on bowing out early.

A very interesting thread thanks to BB's write-up first of all as well as scal's feedback. Truly some good analysis and information thrown around. Interesting how melos post regarding the OKC bench... there was a pivotal aspect, except they were brutally bad. And the whistle tonight seemed to go back and forth, which was an element scal and many of us figured would benefit the Thunder more readily.
Finals are set and I think BB agrees that basketball aficionados win when the team with a high IQ wins over the KD/West show. Thunder are a fascinating team and often are lightning in a bottle. But they were no team in the sense the remaining two teams are. That Parker goes down and the Spurs did what they did, and with Duncan bossing the OT period while OKC ran consecutive empty sets sans KD touches is that little bit of poetic justice needed. We've got the best two teams and if it took six games, well then it's pretty clear about this year's Spurs and Heat.
I hope, BB, you were able to get some pleasure out of the game. Only way I did is because I layed off.
Needless to say I am pumped for the rematch finals.

Been diggin' your write ups but this time i'm not sure i can be on the same boat.
I feel if
indeed the league wants the Spurs to advance then they will have to win
this game so they can get the rest they need especially for Duncan,
Parker & Manu to go head to head w/ Miami and make it a good series w/ everybody healthy. They can't have an old spurs team battling the young & athletic OKC squad in 2 more games
while Miami has all that rest. So saying that if OKC wins this game
will they win the West? hhhmmm
For some reason i feel the league wants Spurs to advance to give these aging vets one last chance for a Championship before they retire - and what a better way than in a revenge game w/ the mighty Heat squad and spoil their 3pete attempt. Spurs has been on top for so long and been the leagues most consistent, relentless and most loyal bunch of players/coach that i think a reward is in order. I think that was supposed to happen last season until Allen spoiled that plan. Thunder are still young & have plenty more years to battle but Spurs are pretty much done if they don't get it this season.
i actually still don't have a play in mind for this game but don't want to think too hard. Good Luck
This game was so ridiculous to cap and i only had a very slight initial lean on the Spurs. I'll always go w/ my guts and the corrupt factor in this league & it paid off. I really feel this is the Spurs year, final year before the Spurs aging vets get close to retirement. or Could be the final season if they win it all this season.

one things for certain these two teams are both going to go all out today. There will be no mental lapses, no questioning themselves and no hesitation. Spurs want to end this NOW and not risk a game 7, even if it is on their home floor. A game 7 is going to be a tough game for them, even Manu stated and felt a certain fear in his voice. OKC is playing for their season - it comes down to this today simple as that. I don't think there is going to be a blowout unless the refs manipulate it as so. My interest is who the league wants in the finals and if it's the Spurs i feel they will win today.
Good Luck all
i wrote out a quarter by quarter break down on FT's & PF's. Spurs had the advantage in all quarters but the 4th where OKC got a whopping 18 Ft's to Spurs 6. furthermore 5 fouls on both Ibaka & Westbrook. Who did the league want to face Miami in the finals?..........you're goddamn right it was the Spurs all along. Effing nailed this sh*t!

I feel like I owe at least a follow up to the writeup if not an apology. I would apologize if I felt that my cap was way off but I don’t think it was. In fact, I think it was fairly accurate and the one caveat that I added at the end of my cap (the Thunder are a low IQ team) is what ultimately cost the Thunder (and us) this game. Let’s recap the cap. I said the Thunder would play better defense, and they did, in the first half. I said I thought the game would go the way it had in the other games, and it did, in the first half, as the Thunder opened up a 7 point lead. I said I thought the Spurs would not risk life and limb to win this game and I was even right there, as they decided to sit Parker in the 2nd half and save him for a possible game 7. Is there any doubt that Parker would have been out there if this was a game 7?
And yet, that move, to sit Parker (and some ill fated decisions by Brooks), changed the entire dynamics of the game. Sitting Parker was a brilliant move. It was partly out of necessity and partly a brilliant strategy (and psychological ploy by Pop). Sitting Parker and starting a 3rd string guard in his place (Joseph) was reminiscent of Pop throwing in the towel in the previous games at OKC. The move cause the Thunder to lower their guard and it made the Spurs up their intensity in order to make up for Parker’s loss. This was the most pivotal moment in the game. Had Parker been out there, the Thunder would not have had the mini let down that they did, allowing the Spurs to score 37 in the 3rd when they held them to 42 for the half. It was brilliant, brilliant move. Instead of the Thunder building on their lead it (the let down) allowed the Spurs to not only climb back in the game but they a huge lead. As I mentioned in my cap, the Thunder, even if down by 10 would keep coming. And they did come back, in a big way. Brooks finally (in the 4th quarter) decided to tell his guys to go to the hoop, and the Thunder finally did. Getting foul shot after foul shot, it was as if the refs had finally been waiting for this moment to arrive (oh, what an idiotic team). But Brooks had not only wore out his starters by this time (for some inexplicable reason, he suddenly lost faith in Butler, who had played well at home and given them points off the bench, and didn’t play him for a single minute, when they could have really used him) but he also let Pop take advantage of his small lineup (i.e., Fisher) by letting guys who were a foot taller than him, post him up. It was as if Pop was playing chess against a two year old! Even with all that, the Thunder were up by 2 in OT and KD missed a 5 footer that would have given the Thunder a 4 point lead with a couple of minutes to play. I’m very sorry for those who tailed and lost money on this game. I really am. And for that, I do apologize.

It is what it is, can't cry over spilled milk. On to the next write up BB, who do you like Spurs or Heat for game 1?. P.S. There is NO need to apologize, there is nothing guarantee in life except death and taxes. So with that being said, I look forward to your next amusing and interesting write up and good luck.

Thanks, Penguin, I appreciate it. The Thunder (or the Warriors on steroids) and the actual Warriors were my biggest Achilles heel all year. If I had not bet on any games involving those two teams, I'd have an extra 5 grand right now.Hopefully, with smarter coaches next year (and Brooks should get fired after this!) both teams will be easier to cap.
As far as Miami goes, I think Force has a good read on the game. I might add my thoughts in his thread later.

It went just the way it did in the other games, with the Thunder up 20 in third qtr. Right. More nonsense. At least you didn't blame your loss on "The League" or the refs, per usual. Had Parker been out there Thunder would have won? Ridiculous statement! How would you possibly know that? About as an intelligent statement as the whole of the writeup.

You obviously don't know anything about sports psychology. Maybe others here can explain to you what happens (to both teams) when a key player on one team gets hurt. I don't know how old you are, but you must have just started watching sports. In each of the previous games, the team that led at the half won the game. A 7 point lead was something the Thunder should have built off of, but, as I said, they let their guard down (defensively) and it cost them.

You are absolutely correct there sir.

There you are Rod Woman. I thought you were a man of your word? You offered to pay me a dime to get out of here, and yet I haven't heard anything back from you. I was waiting all day yesterday, even signed out of my account as I thought you would hold true to your word. I told you where you can send the money to. My paypal address is mgmprofits2@gmail.com
I would even agree to whatever it is that you want. For instance if you wanted me to make one last post giving you credit I would. But if you're not a man of your word, then you shouldn't be going around asking if other people are a man of their word. Obviously it was just some kind of joke to you? Well to me, your word is important. To go against it, show what kind of character that you really have.
So at least let know if it was just a big joke to you or not. I would love to be paid to leave this site. I was looking forward to it. I use a lot of energy here trying to argue with a bunch of braindead idiots.

If you're unable to affrod to pay me the $1000 I understand. But don't make claims that you cannot back up. That will just make you look like you have no integrity.
I am still giving you the benefit of the doubt. I hope you ARE true to your word. I've seen your other posts where you harp on people who are not. So you would be a big hypocrate to back down on what you said.
