They say being a bookie is profitable, the juice adds up, blah blah blah.
All my parlays have lost by one game this week... 3-1, 2-1, 4-1, non-fucking-stop.
And this guy who's action I'm taking, JUST. DOES. NOT. MISS. He has taken more from me than any amount of money that I have ever seen in my life. I have been reduced to bankruptcy.
EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. PLAY.
He makes a 4-team baseball parlay randomly on Saturday. Yankees come back down 3 runs and he hits it.
LA Angels down 2 all game, he hits it.
OKC down 18 against the Spurs, he hits it.
OKC down 13 tonight. He hits it.
All of the game were parlayed with 2 or 3 games.
If the Thunder wins the series, I will not have the money to pay him anymore. It is over a year's salary that he will hit.

I don't think I ever saw you posting anything positive on here...........
I've posted plenty telling people not to hedge their bets and why it is mathematically wrong. I've also made threads about games. These got no replies and died out.
This tool offered me to cancel his bet on OKC ML at half time. He was laying 2 to 1 and the live line was favoring Miami. Why the fuck would I buy his bet back getting 2 to 1 when I could just bet the same amount as I was going to pay him on OKC live and win that much?
His series odds were at 60% at one point in time, which he got at even money. So 60-40 is a 1.5-1 ratio right? (0.60)-(0.40)= 0.2 right?
So I offered him 20% of his bet to cancel the play. He said he is 60% so he should be getting 60% of his potential winnings
Sadly, when you know you are just 0% to win, you are 0%.

I feel your pain my friend, only advice is whatever it takes pay him and keep taking all the action you can as it will eventually work out in your favor. My antique wiseguys in the city told me not to make book if you can't afford at least 2 rough years a row. Every bookie in the world lost their ass 2009-2010 nfl season, and 08-09 wasn't much better from what I heard

You should NEVER be in the bookie business if: A) You don't have enough clientele to get somewhat balanced action from your customers. B) Have a GIANT bankroll so you can absorb hits like this.
C) You gamble on parlays when YOU'RE THE BOOKIE!!!
Parlays, overall, are NEG-EV bets anyway. I know from 20+ years experience that you'll get lucky for awhile, but in the long run you get teased by hitting so many 2 out of 3s, 3 out of 4s, 4 out of 5s, etc. I've even hit 11 out of 12 twice back in the 90s betting OR Lottery pari-mutual parlays (Usually playing 4 or 5 different tickets.)
And he's lucky you didn't deck him for asking you to buy back his crap bet at half-time. He's asking for a with arrogance like that!

did he give u money like a deposit to u to make bets. if so pay him the money. or did you just gave him a credit line so he can make bets, if thats the case just simply give him more credit line.
have all ur clients give u at least a portion of the credit line they recieved so u dont just give money away when they are winning and get nothing when they are loosing.

you are screwed but you can file bookie bancruptcy, but stall him as long as possible ( as you are posting his plays on here, of course) Plan B : Tell him the IRS has frozen your assets and are pressuring you to turn in any other offenders you might know about.
Plan C : Rob a wal-mart

I should have given him credit line. The deal was to pay up this week. He told me he wanted to bet the large on OKC and that he will have the money next day.
This is just plain sick. I do not know a single sports bettor (myself included) who is not up big time with the books. And I got extremely unlucky, missing something like 50 parlays by 1 game or 1 run or 1 basket since April.
I made a lot of money as a bettor last year. But in the previous 11 years (all losing years), not one year did I lose more money than what this guy took from me during the NBA playoff season.
I have till Friday to pay him. Should I hope he slams NBA Game 2 and loses it all?
