The Thunder are currently 3-10 on the year. Besides the Warriors game coming up, the record of the next 6 opponents for OKC are a combined: 21-48. Plus, Durant and Westbrook will be back in the lineup in the next 2-3 weeks. If you think this team is missing the playoffs your crazy, remember how dominant this team is when they are healthy. This is the best value you will get all year long, the Thunder will be their in the end competing and at this value, you can not pass it up. Spurs lucked out that Ibaka missed the first two games of the series last season. When he returned, the Thunder went 2-2 against them - and that was with him playing hobbled. The Heat have since broken up, the Cavs will not have the defense to win in the end, and the Spurs look a step slower. The Championship will be in the hands of the Clippers, the Thunder, or the Warriors IMO - and this is great value at those odds.
Do not pass this up, it will be easily hedged later in the playoffs if you feel the need. This team is not missing the playoffs.
Thunder to win the NBA Championship: +1600
Kevin Durant (right foot) went through a light workout on Tuesday, running pick-and-pop sets with Russell Westbrook and some of OKC's assistant coaches.
Durant still isn't practicing, let alone taking contact in a full-court scenario, so this doesn't change his timetable. He's expected to be re-evaluated right around Thanksgiving, setting up a likely return in early December. Hopefully patient fantasy owners will get some good news in the coming weeks.
Russell Westbrook went through a light workout on Tuesday that included shots with his surgically-repaired right hand.
Westbrook had been limited to left-hand activities, at least during publicly-available practices. He's expected to be re-evaluated on Nov. 29 and his return is likely at least two weeks away, but his ability to catch passes and shoot right-handed suggests his recovery is on target. According to his initial timetable the earliest he might return is Dec. 2 vs. the Pelicans in New Orleans, but we'll know more after he meets with doctors in late November.

3-10 now with 6 "easy" opponents coming up...figure a 4-2 scenario as best case...
That puts them at 7-12 through 19 games (1/4 of the way through just about)
To get into the playoffs in the West (assume 50 wins) they would have to go 43-20 from then on out.
Good value sure...but I just don't see the numbers being behind them...add in the fact that Durant and Westbrook aren't going to come back and be 100% right away going full speed.

Even if so, the Thunder have to battle the Pelicans, Kings, or Suns to get the 8th and final spot. I'll take my chances. Thunder are a team that can easily win 12 games in a row when healthy.

Betting on them if healthy would need 10 to 1 to achieve any sort of value most likely. What is to say either of these guys come back as scheduled, much less both? Maybe they do, but big risk there. I think it is more likely than not they are something like 10-20 before and if the ship is righted. In that case needing a 37-15 type of run, against very good competition on many nights, to receive a low seed. Even with those guys healthy I am not sure they are above 3 or 4 in the West to begin with. Definitely intrigued to see how they finish it out.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LEAGUE CAPPER YOURE A MORON IF YOU THINK SPURS LOST A STEP....
You clearly forgot last years game 6, where the Spurs without T.Parker were able to beat OKC. Spurs will always own OKC and Popovich will literally out coach Brooks or any coach in the league. Dont give me that Ibaka crap he did nothing more than catch San Antonio off guard. Look what happened in game 5 when Spurs adjusted they smashed OKC by 20+. Look at games 1 and 2 in WCF last year, OKC is absolute hot trash on the road. Scott Brooks is not a top tier coach in this league. He had one finals run and literally handed a ring to Miami. You want to bet on a team that has shoot first guards in Westbrook and Jackson as well. Lets not forget that Sefalosha their best defender is gone, so was Fisher who was in fact a locker room leader gone as well. Good luck having Collison and Perkins contribute anything to the game.
On top of everything you are asking a team which is LAST in the west to suddenly turn it on when an injured Durant and Westbrook return (will take them at least 5 additional games to get their rhythm) ? No team except the 76ers is a pushover as even the lowly Pistons beat OKC at home.
Good luck to your bet but DONT YOU EVER DARE CALL THE SPURS A STEP OFF. They can literally beat a full OKC team with their bench, assuming everyone is healthy. OKC will NEVER win a championship with ball hog Russel and im afraid the hole they are in is even now too much to get a good playoff seed.
You mention the Clippers and Warriors but you completely cut off the Mavericks, Blazers, Rockets? This thread should not continue any longer.

You guys obviously don't know how to read a thread. I didn't say they were going to win the Championship. I'm saying based on value this is a steal. They will definitely be one of the contenders and you can easily hedge later on. By February this will be under +1000

Too many unknowns, LC. BTW, teams in the West are trying to burry this Thunder team every chance they get, because they don't want them in the playoffs. Frankly, I don't think they make it.

They just have to win their division, which I believe they do. Then they also got home court advantage in the first round.
I see Thunder as the best team in the West, close with Spurs and Golden State. I agree with LC, +1600 is a crazy price on the Thunder. They've been decent even without 2-5 keyplayers in most of the games. Perry Jones' stepped up, and I really like his skillset. Similar to KD.
When RW and KD returns, and they get injury-free, I think the Thunder have a pretty solid bench. And when we get to the playoffs, the starting-5 is so freaking important, and here the Thunder got the best in the West.

Think of how frustrated this OKC team has been in the past couple years. Injuries mid playoffs last year, you really think westbrook and durant will comeback and be ok with throwing another year away...We are talking about the reigning MVP here.
Above people have commented they will need to go 37-15 or 43 - 20 for the 3/4 of the season that is left and that will be hard...This team, almost the same exact team was 59-23 last season. So 43-20 is very achievable, thats winning 2 out of 3 games, so possible.
Plus you have had this whole OKC team developing its bench, role players and stars (Ibaka) while Durant and westbrook are injuried. That just makes this team more deep and will allow for easier re-integration of KD anf RW back in the line up.
OKC knows everyone is writing them off this will be motivation, you think we cant do it, watch us. I feel people underestimate KD's level of compete, he is up there with Kobe.

Wishful thinking..... they'll be lucky to get into the playoffs.
The window is closing quick. They'll need another 2 weeks to re-adjust after Durant and then westbrook get back.... they'll lose a bunch of games with them 2 on the court in the beginning as well.
Secondly, mediocre teams from last year like PHX, New Orleans, and Sacremento are not medoicre anymore.... they're not just gonna give wins all of a sudden. You chalk up at best a .500 split against those teams for a full strength OKC crew.
And lastly..... you forget OKC got smacked around by the Grizz to the point where the league had to help them advance to the next round and suspend Z-bo for duffing Steven Adams (duffing NOT punching)...... you don't feckin suspend 1 of the 2 most important players on that team for that reason..... horrible league intervention....
They don't have the half court game to get by Memphis or the Grizz...... And Dallas is a serious threat this year..... they can actually win the West IMO. OKC window is nearly shut.

When I'm agreeing with Gene of all people, you KNOW how strong I feel about the opposite of the posted pick.
The west is truly unfair and the lakers have the right idea in some regards: if you are bad or even average or in OKC's case, not on your game for a significant stretch, set the whole thing on fire and shoot for future years.

You guys are complete morons the Brooklyn Nets I repeat the Brooklyn Nets took care of this team last night who played 10000% effort all out. This team wont make the playoffs but you guys are throwing hard earned money on this disaster of a team.
Scott Brooks CANNOT coach. I would take Jaque Vaughn over this four eyed goof
