He went through some contact in practce on Monday. Last week he wasn't supposed to be re-evaluated until the coming weekend, but he's apparently doing much better than expected. Fantasy owners in weekly leagues will still probably want to bench Westbrook because the Thunder have no games after Friday this week. Reggie Jackson will lose some value, but he should still be worth owning in just about all leagues.
Kevin Durant (foot) went through some contact in practice on Monday.
He has a big evaluation coming up on Thanksgiving, but his return is getting close. At the very earliest, he could play Friday, but that would be extremely optimistic. His owner should bench him because he is not even allowed to play on Wednesday because of the NBA's hardship exception. The Thunder only have a Friday game after that. Anyone who grabbed KD in their drafts should feel pretty good right now.

Are you saying this is great value because you plan on hedging out?
If you hedge out, when would that be? First round second round? If they even make the playoffs?
Last year you took them at 4-1. That was a very powerful team who had their seed locked up up top.. Now when D and R return, everything must go right in the loaded west to make the playoffs and they will be playing the 1 or 2 seed in the first round.
I really don't see great value here at all. Last year at 4-1 in comparison, 3/4's of the way through the season seems much much better in comparison.

I see great value as the line dropping drastically. By February, I expect this line to be well under +1000, and by the playoffs, well under +750. At that point, it will be my option to hedge out or not - I don't have to decide that yet.
From +1600 to +1300 with 6 straight losses, this line will only be going down not up.

The year prior with a healthy Westbrook, they could have gone much farther. This is great value in my eyes as I surely see them making the playoffs.

I don't think they'll be able to overtake Portland as they have too good of a homecourt advantage to lose as many games as they'll need to give up a 10 game lead.
8th seed should go to the Suns or the Thunder. The Suns have a 6 game lead over the Thunder currently but an absolutely brutal schedule coming up.

If Utah and New York beat Oklahoma in their next 2 home games you can void any bets you made as this team will be in a much deeper hole. The opponents do not get any easier than this (except when Philly comes to town) and if OKC loses the playoffs itself is in jeopardy.
I will once again take the proven Spurs when the time comes and I suggest you do the same by your "hedge".

I agree that he's the favorite right now. It's a long year and it's far easier advancing in the Eastern playoffs than West. I could see Bud stealing it if the Hawks sneak in to the ECF.
