Bobcats + 3. Detailed write up why!

So here is my take.  When I look at games, I try to keep it simple and use logic.

Logic says this is a hard game to be backing the celtics.  When I take a side I want some kind of a advantage, a good reason, some match ups or stats to back up my reasoning to back a team.

So what it comes down to is Do you back a elite team in boston who is clearly not playing well but still winning, Or do you back a hot team who is at home, and playing with confidence. And is on a winning streak.

Tough Bet to win with boston.  My only play would be the Bobcats And I would lay back and try to get the best number I can get or no play at all or buy some points with the bobcats.  Your preference

Do not ignore the signs boston have showed you all season,
1. One leg Kevin Garnett is not 100%
2. I see old people!   boston seems like they have had 5 birthdays since last year.
3.  Top shelf nba teams have beat them all year every game.

I say all of that about boston and I backed them going into miami but I did not like the way they won. And the only reason I took the celtics moneyline was because I Was betting against The heat. I knew they was not playing well.

Few tips for all the young up and coming nba cappers of the world. Do not bet against Hot teams in the Nba.

On that theory alone I will not take boston in this situation, to many disadvantages against you in this game. 

Also history shows that this team matches up very well style wise against the celtics, They play the same way.. and actually I think the celtics style of play, helps the bobcats out... Because that slow the ball down, and run your offense style of play is exactly what the bobcats  run and matches up well against.  Last year the sorry bobcats took the celtics into 2 overtime games... This year the first meeting the Bobcats got beat down by the celtics 92-58 and the celtics was on a b2b. This was the bobcats first game of the season, so obviously we know this is a different team now.

And that's another advantage for the bobcats. Motivation, from losing so bad last time to the celtics. The cats will come out and play hard.  Which should always be factored in with any nba game you cap. Some of the time that is the only difference.

Will the celtics match they energy, Good question.
Larry Brown was embarrased from that game, The players was also.

Again, Here are the advantages for the bobcats to win this game straight up.

1. Home Court advantage.. which can help if they rally in the 4th and get any kind of decent lead. The home team players play with more confidence and the opposing team players energy gets sapped. Seems unfair don't it.

2. Motivation.  The bobcats got blew out last game, not just blew out but embarrased.  They will be motivated to win and will play with maximum effort tonight.

3.  Rested. 2 days rest and at home.

4.  Styles of play helps bobcats.

5. Hot team right now, playing with a lot of confidence and again playing at home.  On a winning streak.

6. Bobcats have proven they can beat a good team at home.  Ask lebron and Mo.

7.  They can score now, no longer are they struggling to get close to a hundred points. 2 of last 4 they have went over a hundred points... brown has tweaked something, can some one say action jackson...

advantages for boston

1. on paper a better team, but has not play like that team on paper all season.  except for the win in cleveland who was trying out a brand new rotation and players for the first time all season.

2. Paul pierce and rondo.

questions for boston.

1. will they match the bobcats energy tonight.
2. will human nature allow them to look down on the bobcats since they beat them down so bad last game.
3. Will ray ray break out his slump.. His hands will be full tonight.


Please give me suggestions and opinions why boston will win.  I hate to say it but if the books didn't need even money on both sides of this game I think the cats would and should be favored by the -3...  Call me crazy if you want. But to cap these nba game accurately and consistently you have to make your crazy make sense and back it up with info and stats. If you can do that you are not crazy. Just a good capper...

If after reading all of this and you still believe in boston tonight, please post why. I would love to hear the other side.

p.s. I watches every nba games. and yes boston should of lost to the heat the last game, but being they are a veteran team and the heat are the one man gang heat. They squeezed out a victory like a elite team should and will do most of the time this season. Did Boston convince me that they are ready to be a elite team. No... As long as garnett is hopping around on 1 leg this will never be the same team from previous years.  What garnett brings emotionally to this boston team can not be measured. But he can not dominate night in and night out on a bad leg.




Before I go... Ask Your self this boston backers... Why would the books only make the celtics a 3 point favorite vs a team they last beat 92-59..... Are they trying to give away money line money on the boston with that kind of value. Think about it....








The smart money will be on the bobcats or no action.

If I am wrong on this game I will be back to eat crow and apologize to you boston backers....

i think experience has something to do with confidence too. so compared to a home team of young bobcats, i'd still go for the experienced celtics. (remember the #1 play last year where ray allen was able to bank the 3pt shot to win against the bobcats? what i'm wondering is why didnt somebody run towards the other side of the court, instead they've been having a difficult time getting the inbound.)

also, they've won against cleveland and washington, their streak may stop soon.

thanks for the share but i think it is time for bob cats to stop for a while. they can not continue this well. boston is too unstable. they will want to prove something. if they want to state that they are one of the best they have to win this type of games. although i have a lot of sympathi for charlotte i am going with boston in this one. BOL anyway though.

The Slobcats are only getting 3 at home because of people who post threads like this.  I bet there are 10 other posts in here that are screaming Slobcats.  Nothing will surprise me, but I'm on the Celts.  I'll go down taking the better team.  I'd rather lose money on the better team than going the other way and hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.

this is a steal. the same way i thought the suns was only -2 against the craptors. the good thing about the celtics is they play great defense. garnett has been shooting very good and i don't see how the bobcats can stop him, pierce or rondo. after they traded okafur and bell their defense dropped. although they can score more points i don't see them scoring much against the tough boston defense. + even if allen is on a slump he's still pretty reliable especially in crunch time, he proved it when he hit a crucial 3 against miami that widened the lead and covered the -4 and they won by 7. if it wasnt for allen's 3 boston wouldnt have covered c:

Also on the Bobcats, if your looking for another reason how about the fact the Celts travel to SA for their next game. Playing against a team you destroyed first game and playing a big time opponent on the road in your next game can make it easy to look past a hot bobcats team.

If you people think for one second that NBA teams don't look past opponents for their next game then you obviously have not been betting or watching NBA that long. Will gladly take the +3.5 tonight and look for Char to win straight up. GL tonight!

Good post.  No reason to eat crow if it loses tonight, the public is pounding boston, but any smart bettor knows the bobcats play the celics very tough, the bobcats are 6-2 su and ats at home. With you on the bobcats tonight.  The line is now +3.5 at most places, and I recommend buying the hook to get +4.  Great play!

In my opinion Boston are about an 8.5 point better side than Charlotte and as such should cover. Recent stats against each other suggest otherwise hence the low line. The diff in my capping and the line almost forces me to take Boston but you certainly make some sound points. Also think that if Celts are 2 or 3 in front with 20 seconds to go then free throws might enable them to cover. Thanks for the write-up - one of us will be on a winner.
