Bosh - name me better #3 option

If you can name me a better #3 option than Chris Bosh. Then I tip my hat off.

Ill save you some trouble, there really isnt one.

Just playing devil's advocate here - when HEALTHY: Dwight Howard? At his peak he lead an average Orlando side to the NBA finals as the team's number 1 option.

not worth the money.  game is one dimensional.  mid range jumper and that's it.   not post up game.   no defense.   too soft.   yeah he's the best 3rd player on any team because of the two we got in front of him.   how many other players in the league who you rank below bosh would be more effective if they played with wade and lebron.   bosh sucks imo

If healthy I would take Lee or who ever you consider 3rd on grizz(all are better then Bosh IMO).

Interesting stuff so far.

Houston #1 Harden, #2 Parson, #3 Asik

Bosh > Asik

Yet its much closer when I consider the talent of that young Turk as well as what he would mean being added to a team like mine. When Bosh was asked to be the man, he was a 22/10/1 guy with multiple All Star appearances and won the only division title for that franchise.

Chicago - #1 Rose, #2 Noah #3 Boozer or Deng

Bosh > Boozer or Deng

If anyone wishes to make a case for wither of the Bulls forwards then Im open ears.

Lakers #1 Kobe, #2 Dwight, #3 Gasol

Bosh = Gasol

Im gonna quit listing people b/C when i went to nba teams roster page the first 3 tears all had better 3rd options.....Brooklyn Joe Johnson, Boston green/garnertt as 3rd and 4th etc.....the problem is no one else has 2 better except maybe thunder

Consider a guy like Harrison Barnes right now. Im bullish on the kid. Followed him from a fantasy perspective. Then used that knowledge to back him on some prop bets. There was a 2 or 3 game stretch in the San Antonio series I believe when after Curry was hobbles, young Barnes was gifted 20 shots per game and made some noise. He could be a better version of Paul George. So as a GM, Id make that trade. However, a trade for that position does not make sense for Miami.

I guess the real problem is someone like asik you mentioned above would be much more effective for what the heat need.....Im indifferent whether or not they are actually better than bosh...he just really does not fit Miami's need. They need an actual big to do work.....a Howard, hibbert or somebody that can actually guard a big. Don't get pau gasol mixed up with this one season...he is much better than bosh

Noah aint no number 2 option on the Bulls, he's not even an option, they run no plays for him, Boozer is better than the Bosh that played this year no question.

I disagree with all of the above. I would rather have those players than Bosh.  But this is such a hard debate because there are so many factors involved. Not the least of which is team fit.

If I was a heat fan I would take a guy with Boozer's game over Bosh. Or someone like Tyson Chandler (if healthy).  They do not need a big who shots mid range jumpers and is soft on D.

Yep, somebody like Chandler would be great for the Heat, somebody who rebounds and blocks shots and sets picks on offense, doesnt need the ball and basically stays out of the way.

I need to make a correction to my assessment of Warriors roster. Curry, Thompson, Lee THEN Barnes.

David Lee is not capable of playing defense. Bosh is superior in that aspect. Bosh > David Lee

Do not get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with Bosh as your #3 player by any means. I just feel that, in all my basketball knowledge , that there are many other players that would be a better fit for the Heat and their team makeup than Bosh.

I don't know too many people who wouldn't take David West over Bosh. Consider the latest 7 game series with the Pacers:

West 107 points, 47 rebounds
Bosh 71 points, 31 rebounds.

Unless you want to talk about George or Hibbert being option number 3, in which case the numbers would be even more lopsided.
