One thing is certain I don't see this going 7. It has only happened 4 times in the past 25 years. Of those 4 times Bron Bron and San Antonio were in 3/4 of them. So throw that out. I think is ends 4-2 Boston. I don't see 4-1 Boston and I don't see 4-2 Dallas. Thoughts?

My heart is telling me Dallas in 7 with kyrie Irving hitting another game 7 step back 3 over Tatum dead in eyes while him and Luka go for 40+ each that game . My head is telling me Boston in a gentleman sweep .

William Hill has Mavs +2.5 -290…was -220 earlier so must have got blasted
I think Mavs can win 2 games, so -160 looks good to me (it’s like the same bet, WH always with the bad juiced lines smh)
If Mavs win series, I definitely don’t think 4-1…
If Boston wins is it 4-1 or 4-2? Maybe 7, but more rare (7 looks appealing lol)
2 things that I like about Dallas is their ability to play good on the road, and how they bounce back off a loss. Boston in the playoffs seems to lose one at home. At least this year and last. Just some random thoughts…
I guess the question is if you like Boston can the Mavs win 2 games?
Play the game. Don’t let the game play you.

The last 2 years in elimination games the Celtics choke. The defense on the ball makes the 3’s very hard for Brown & Tatum. They were forced to penetrate in the middle and their ball handling skills are average at best. Continuous turnovers. 4/3 Mavericks, maybe 4/2

If you believe in the NBA Opera Storyline, then the Celtics finish what they started and win their title, avenging their loss in the 2022 finals when they lost to the Currys

How many 5 seeds or worse have ever won the title in the modern era (last 40 years)?
Outside of 1993/1994 Houston Rockets...it's always chalk.
Boston Celtics should win this series, but there is a lot of anti Boston sentiment nationally, so people will gladly pump up the dog and hitch their wagon to Doncic as a feel good Cinderella story.

Until now, only one 5 seed has ever made it to the NBA Finals. (2020 Heat) That kinda trumps the historical angle that no 5 seed has ever won the championship. The Mavs don't look like any 5 seed I've ever seen. Plus, with their 50-32 record, they would have been tied as a 2 seed in the weak East.

Especially considering the big moves they made at trade deadline. Completely different team. If they started season with this squad they definitely could have been higher seed.
