Why do you think 5grand is a lot on a game?  People bet bigger then this all the time, if the op says he bet 5grand then I am going to take his word for it.  If op is lying then he is only cheating him self.  I know people who have bet 50bucks on a game and I know a guy who bet 100k on a game.  It is his money he can bet how he pleases.

wow, the books have Celtics as dogs with a 6 pt lead? Basically begging for money on Boston, the refs are really gonna rip the Celtics a new one in the 2nd half because the knicks look awful, Celtics have shut them down defensively, it wasn't for the favourable calls and Smith making all those tough shots (including a buzzer beating 3 from half court)....the Celtics would be up much more.

Boston needs to play more defense to maintain the lead. its just a 6point lead. anything can happen. one wrong call or a three pointer can change the tempo of the game
