Do you think this shoulder injury is going to keep him from playing? Put some duct tape on it and let's go!! Just kidding. I'm sure it hurt but these guys are pro athletes with the best trainers around. They guarantee have been working it and he will be a go in game 1. His presence on the floor is a big enough factor for me. Heat can do a lot of scoring without him having to score buckets.
AS for the rust factor, this could be true in the first half. Keep in mind though that their team mentality starts with defense. I guarantee you they would be happy with a win in the 70s or 80s. Bucks however would panic and freak out. Heat must rebound on defense and get good shots. Bucks is too tall for them to take bad shots. However, if you slow the game down and make the Bucks anxious, this can play into your favor. This will be a very exciting game 1. Statement game early to set the standards for the series.

Not here to say I told you so because this series is much too long but I will say this game played out just as I expected. Lopez had a good night shooting and he made a bunch of 3's but it doesn't help his team. Here is why. Bucks have a lot of guys that can shoot the 3. A lot but yet you want to rely on your two tallest players to shoot 3's? They get no offensive rebounds and second-chance points. Miami on the other hand played balance. Took easy layups when given. They put themselves in a position to get rebounds. They gave themselves open shots because the Bucks kept crowding the paint. Most important is they played decent defense forcing the Bucks to take long 3 pointers and hustling for every rebound. The Bucks are cooked if they can't make adjustments. Let's see how game 2 goes but I will play the same ML half the amount of my spread wager.

In terms of the Bucks making adjustments Coach Bud needs to play his starters more in the Playoffs.. I know Middleton and Giannis got 37 mins each tonight? I know Giannis was in foul trouble in the first half but he has to get 40 plus mins especially after Coach Bud load managed his mins during the regular season... I thought Matthew's should have been guarding Butler at the end of the game as well... It's all good though I have the Heat to win the series and Coach Bud factored into my decision

McManus - Head on a swivel because we will get dumped and pissed on for taking the Heat in this series. Oh well, we making $$ by being a dog every game.

Gotta say, this analysis was spot on. Maybe 1 game, maybe a benefit of increased time to prep on Miamis part...but when they needed it most, the Bucks offense looked like ass in the 4th. May have to start tailing you and hedge on my futures bet with Bucks

I see people saying no Bledsoe is a big deal. I will say Hill has stepped up well for this team in place of Bledsoe. The problem is they now rely more than ever on Giannis to be the point and make plays. I don't see Bledsoe coming back as Hamstring injuries if serious can be a minimum of 2 weeks. That being said the Bucks have a lot of weapons to still step in. I expect Bledsoe to be out will not distract Miami from continuing to keep up the pressure. I love that Lopez shot well in game 1. This means he will stay out there in the corner. Love that. Love that Giannis keeps driving to the hole. More offensive fouls coming. Love that even if he does get fouled that he shoots air balls. (mind-blowing watching him shoot free throws) Truth is I worry about Korver coming off the bench and how we slow him down and I worry about the strong play from Middleton. I think if I had the choice I would make Hill beat me but I can't complain with how Miami has game-planned so far. They are very good at adjustments and I am very confident in the staff.

12 players that could start for almost any other team?
Brook Lopez would not start for half of the teams on the league at least. Wesley Mathews would not start for 80% of the teams of this league. Bledsoe maybe 40%. Kyle Korver is a piece of shit. Robin Lopez is even worse. Ilyasova is an eternal benchplayer. The Bucks are not deep, they just happen to have the best 2 way duo in the NBA.

I am excited for game 3. If the Heat can weather the storm and stay in it until the end then they can give themselves a chance to win the game. Let's be honest, Bucks is throwing everything but the kitchen sink in this one. This is an all-out war. Heat just needs to stay smart and stick with what they do best. Shoot open shots and rebound. I do however see that this series is turning into a lot of fouls and free throws. A lot of that is due to both teams adjusting and driving to the hole. I think that is great. Because of it, I played the following:
First Q over 56.5
Half over 111
Heat game +5
Heat ML +170

Should never have gotten that close but I will take the 1st Q win.
I just wanted to point out to my point. Did you see the two times Lopez posted up on the block and scored? That is my point. When he and Giannis post up they can't be stopped by Miami. It's a mismatch every time. But they won't do it. It's not because of the players, it's because of the coach and the system these players are in.

I expected more fouls but oh well. No need for a second-half play. Letting this ML and +5 ride out and see what happens.
BTW I don't have a good feel on Lakers vs Rockets but I assume the same as last night with the Clippers and Nuggets game 1. With that being said I will take Lakers -3 half and -7 game. Nothing big just something to play because it sounds right to play.

Coach Bud did his part though and that was wonderful.. The Bucks are now down 3-0 and no player on the Bucks has played more than 37 mins in these 3 games ..
