Add to the fact that the Bulls lost by 42 last meeting in Sacramento is major motivation for Tibs tonight. Bulls win this by 10+ tonight, IMO. Tibs doesn't forget things like that and neither will Noah, Butler, Boozer, and crew.
When they played the best team in the east you could have said "what motivation do they have?"
They took them to OT and the Pacers won in a squeaker.
When they played the second best team in the west, a team that typically demolishes them, especially on their home court, you could have said "what motivation do they have?" The spurs had to pull ahead in the final minute and then G ay had a 7 foot look at the hoop rim off. They lost by two.
That's the best the NBA has to offer outside of the heat, blazers and OKC.
They were cruising against the Mavs as well only to lose it late on their floor. Again ask "what motivation do they have?"
And they covered against the jazz.
Looks like they had plenty of motivation in all those recent games.
The Bulls are fighting for a playoff spot?
Ok, then why did the GM trade deng for Bynum only to cut Bynum.
Why did they just let Cartier Martin go?
Why is taj Gibson now rumored to be traded by the 20th?
Why is Boozer rumored to be amnestied by the 20th so the bulls can sign a max player next year and get under the luxury tax?
Why did they trade another nice little bench guy in Marquis Teague for Tornike Shegelia? Not money?!!! It was money for money.
No one is safe on the bulls at this trading deadline.
That leads to inconsistency and upset in the lockeroom and on the floor.
And the beating they took from the Pelicans last game was quite eye opening as they ran their starters into the ground because of a very weak bench.
So you have one team covering 3 of their last 4 desperate for a win, trading for guys that can score, getting rid of dead weight and going way over the salary cap and another team that is .500, lost 3 of 5, hasn't covered in 4 of 7 (and it should be 5 of 7 if not for .5 pt cover), and literally has a "for sale" sign on the right horn of its logo.
You can spin it your way with how a book sets a line and ATS figures or my way which has a macro and micro perspective of teams that I've followed closely for over a half a month.
Your spin may cost you tonight....dearly.
