So very very sad , total lack of understanding of the use of the english language , if you are watching you inow just how sad it is 

" when i seen him " 

" basketball gods was on our side " 

Not hatin on the guy , and have no idea how far he went in school but unable to get a sentence out with correct grammer 


Very very sad and what ever school he passed thru should be ashamed - seems like a nice enough guy but wow , At so point you have to teach tbe guy the basics

yeah im sure proper grammer was the first thing on the mans mind after that insane finish and likley his first ever confrence finals looming next week

My above question applies to both blurbs.  One cannot call your writing sentences or paragraphs.  In fact, it's pretty much on par with the words of Demare Carol.  But he's a gifted basketball player.

As far as Carol as a basketball player, his rise these past two years has been amazing.  He is an integral part in Atlanta's success.  And he's really fun to watch.  He plays a smart man's brand of hoops.  You agree, nc 1capper.  Do you like atlanta versus clevleand?

Great post, FlamingoBarnes.  Original poster definitely exposed himself hard, to say the least.  An argument can be made that there are TWENTY grammatical errors in his post. . .while taking jabs at someone giving his quick thoughts IMMEDIATELY following an emotional 48-minute basketball game.  Original poster was able to look back on his work before hitting the "submit" button. . .yet, still hit the button.

 

Please don't take this personally, nc1capper.  It is not meant as an insult to you.  However, it's that "glass house" kind of thing.

To claim the OP as borderline racist for his comments is pretty ridiculous.  While I agree it's something silly to harp on (and I used to teach high school English), I'd imagine he would've created the same post if Carroll were white, of Latin or Hispanic descent, or of any other ethnic background.

While I  don't know for certain nc1capper would have created a post, had he observed someone else of another complexion speak the same way, I would be guilty of the same kind of conjecture he was for assuming the kind of upbringing Carroll had.

to me it's borderline, because only black people talk that way. So, to critisize a black man for talking the way that they are supposed to talk is racist. It's like saying that all blacks should talk like they are white. Just ignorant at the very least.

But obviously this post by the OP was just a cry for attention. I don't really think the OP is racist. Well I hope they aren't that ignorant.

Wouldn't you say it's borderline racist to have the notion that "only black people talk that way"?   I'm certainly not calling you a racist for writing that, but to make that kind of statement, while criticizing someone else -- who didn't even mention skin color in his initial rant -- seems hypocritical.

I enjoy your posts, so don't take this as an affront to your point of views; but in a world where it's easy to cast stones, you better make sure you're not casting them from a glass house.

For all I know the OP could be racist.  It's just that I'm not getting that from reading his post.  Perhaps it's because of the way I speak and write, I could see why that would be jarring to someone who hears someone speak with horrible vernacular, syntax, etc....  

The bottom line, the OP should not have cast judgement on someone else for the way they speak; nor should anyone cast allegations that someone is racist when not attributing his criticism based on the color of the person's skin.

Thanks much Nickels. I appreciate that. And sorry if I sound like a jerk in some of my posts.....Am just getting frustrated that so many people on here are totally ignoring the good stats in favor of the clippers tomorrow. I try to help people win, but some people would rather just fade, for what reason I have no clue. Why fade a 100% stat in a big game like this. Been posting it over and over for people to see. And then people coming on saying that makes em feel better about the rockets. Just frustrating. 

So I give up. lol but thanks again I hope you enjoy the game tomorrow as well and make some good profit!

No problem. Let me try to explain myself. I'm not too good at it, but I'll try. lol

First, obviously I am not racist or I wouldn't be accusing others of being racist. Racist people like other racist people. They flock together. I can't stand ignorance, so i had to say something.

And 2nd, it's a fact that most white people do not talk like that. The only ones who do are the ones who hang around with blacks all the time. Has nothing to do with being racist. It's just the black's style of speaking. Each culture has their own style of talking. We all have our own "language" and accent. So to diss on someone because they use their style is borderline racist IMO. But I never once called the OP Racist. I just said borderline.....

But back to what I said about black talking like that.....

That's how they LIKE to talk. They know the proper way as well, but they are used to talking the way they do.   Like if you live in the country and you speak with an accent. You get used to it after a while. That does not mean the blacks don't know the proper way to speak. But who cares about what's "proper" that's another pet peeve of mine. That people would want everyone speaking the same way.  I'm glad blacks speak the way they do. 

So what I said was not racist in the slightest, you just misunderstood me. But thanks for asking to clarify
