One of the worst rebounding teams I've ever seen, and I've charted every team from 1980 till now.

Pat Riley has always said No rebounds, no rings !

And history tells the same story, no team in history as won the NBA Title as pathetically weak in rebounding as the Celtics.

All the expeience in the world can not make-up for lack of talent rebounding the ball, little chance to none to win the NBA Title............................................

They did improve a bit from their regular season 46.08%, but they did it by getting a higher % of defensive rebounds against Hawks and 76ers, the 3rd and 4th worst offensive rebounding teams in the playoffs next to the last place Celtics and 2cd to last place Mavs.

Clippers got 51.33% of available rebounds, Grizz 51.29%

Rebounding by-itself will not help teams win, of coarse they need to play strong in other parts of the game.

Lack of rebound will stop most all teams from winning the title.

This is how the NBA has played-out over it's history.

Not trying to bust your butt wicked, just posting the history of the NBA playoffs.

Since 1974 when the league started tracking off and def rebounds for each team and their opps, of the 47 NBA Champs, just 2 were weak rebounding teams or 4.3%.

Which means a weak rebounding team wins the title about once every 23.5 years.

I don't see any value backing a weak rebounding team at Bostons current odds.

The greatest winners in NBA history have all failed to win the title when playing on a weak rebounding team, including, Bird, Magic and MJ.

And the Celtics are the weakest of the weak, far weaker then the teams which Bird, Magic and MJ failed with.

Again not trying to bust your butt, but what no-fear attitude on the road are you talking about.

They were 15-18 on the road this season and 2-4 thus far in the playoffs.

And more importantly they are 0-2 in close-out games on the road, is that the no-fear attitude your refering to ?

Under Doc the Celtics are now something like 2-11 on the road in close-out games.

The other elite teams in the league are 4-1 on the road in close-out games.

I think your pre-conceived perception of the Celtics is clouding your mind from seeing the actual truth about them, which is very common with many fans and sports bettors out there...............................................

Deep in the playoffs.

They have no problem giving the Heat or the Spurs run for their money on the road. You might disagree but the C's can still cause an upset, you'd be narrow minded to think these guys have no chance in the ECF or the finals. I think they will wear this underdog tag well and not go down so easily like the last season, I still think against the elite teams they can play their best game especially deep into the playoffs.

Avery is a huge loss but you think about what this season means to this team, we all know it will be for the last time. The coach and the four stars are champions, they know how to win these games. Bass is a good addition for any team. I value this team more than most people because of their late run to win their division. Their post season ain't impressive so far but they're still grinding, staying in control and staying alive. They still play good D.

I'm not guaranteeing the C's will win, I like the price for what it seems like a slim chance to most.

Don't ever doubt, it could happen.

They can't beat Atlanta or the 76ers on the road now you have them beating the Spurs and Heat on the road, interesting to say the least.

Your judging the C's by how good they were in past years, what they did in 2008 or 2010 has nothing to do with this year.

The fact they rose to the occasion in those years has nothing to do with them rising to the occasion this year and beating the other elite teams.

What will have far more to do with how the C's perform this season is how good they are this season, and that folks is not championship caliber, and their weak rebounding is screaming at you telling you this fact.

NBA history is loaded with past champions who've all failed when their game has fallen off like the Celtics game has......................................................................
