It’s too bad we have to watch this series.....again. Is anybody surprised that these two teams are here? Not really. We gotta play the games though I guess. The league and the media can sell this series all they want but Silver is an idiot for allowing this to happen 4 times in a row. The NBA is approaching a big problem here and if this series is a dud again like it was last year, what’s the point really? I know that’s the majority thought process with this finals. With nothing else to watch tonite though, let’s take a shot here early:
Two teams both rested, not many giving the Cavs a shot so if there were ever a game to keep it close or even steal one, this is the game for the Cavs. What are they gonna surprise the Dubs in game 2? It could happen but I feel tonite is the better nite. Cavs have stunk in game 1s in this “rivalry” so do we see it again tonite?
Let’s see how the Cavs do in the first 24 minutes. If they get blown out, they ain’t coming back so keeping it close is a must. The Dubs haven’t started well the last few games so let’s see if that continues here. Enjoy the game tonite and good luck with whatever you play.
First Play: Cavs +7.5 FIRST HALF
Prop: Draymond Green OVER 10.5 points
2-0 nite to start the finals baby. On to the next one.
Now 52-47 in the playoffs
Now 17-7 since the start of the conference finals

Another very valid excuse for Lebron to leave the Cavs next year. JR Smith said to Lebron on the replay: “I thought we were up”. Really? Tonite the Cavs could and should have stolen game 1 but Hill, an 80% free throw shooter and JR, a veteran who has been in all 4 of these series.....they failed Lebron big time. Obviously anything can happen going forward after the sh@tshow we just saw but to think the Cavs get back into this spot in oracle is slim to none.

Game was good up until that point.. ruined what otherwise would have been a classic Finals game but instead be remembered most for the most dubious play in Finals history. I would have lived with a Lebron buzzer beater not going on or someone else other than JR trying to get a shot off and missing it. At least they tried, but this was not trying. It was just plain dumb. Not watching the rest of this series and i think the majority of NBA fans should do the same and let it be known in the ratings but i guess this kind of shitt sells and people enjoy inferior products

It’s crazy to me how inconsistent the NBA is. Theyboick and choose what is reviewable. Case and point: lebron goal tends oladipo with under 10 seconds to go in game 6 yet no replay? The play before that, Lebron supposedly dribbled the ball out of haves underneath his own basket yet replay showed a Pacer actually deflect it and the you see the ball hit the sideline. I’m not saying the reversal of the charge was s bad call last nite but from what I heard the Cavs were told that the replay was done to see if he was inside the restricted are. That was it; not to see if his feet were moving. If you watch the replay as well, the referee UNDERNEATH the hoop where the play occurred clearly had charge but then you see him hesitate fir a second to check with the other ref behind the play at half court. You see the ref UNDERNEATH make the call but because if the indecision there, they go to replay. People will think I’m crazy when I say this but with almost 90% of the public on the Cavs ML at +500-+600, I wonder if laying that out in a finals game wasn’t in the cards in game 1. I’m sure it wasn’t why the game turned there but what an awful reversal call imo. I guess it’s moot because Hill and JR couldn’t figure it out last nite when it mattered most.
DK: I wanted to touch in this too. Is it me or before, during and after, we saw a media start siding with Lebron in why it should be ok he leaves Cleveland. In the Rachel Nichols interview we heard her ask lebron if he wanted the Kyrie trade and he swore up and down that he was very against it. Also, you see the media really “feel sorry for him” after the debacle with JR. and throughout the game, you constantly hear them talk about how Lebron is doing it all by himself (been going on all playoffs). To me, if there were ever a time that validated lebron getting out of Cleveland, it’s now. I forecast a sh&tshow going forward for the Cavs but I forecast great games by lebron goong forward.

Well the books probably got the best-case scenario thanks to the refs. A Warriors win and a Cavs cover. Surely there was some liability on Cavs ML at those enticing odds and i mean who in their right mind want to take Warriors ML high juice and most definitely there was liability with Warrior pointspread. I dont know the public percentage on the spread didnt pay attention did you know what it closed at Achilles? I highly doubt Cavs ML will draw equal action like it did in game 1.
And i saw the presser.. James was pissed at the media left abruptly and told them to "be better tommorow" he is sick and tired of the sympathy, which is why i think LBJ might put up another 50 burger on Sunday hard to trust his teammates especially JR but he will have to from time to time. I said i wouldnt bet on the Finals again but since i have cooled off now.. i might reconsider.
I have to look at it objectively. Will Igoudala be back for game 2? Will Tristan Thompson be suspended or maybe K Love? Will this loss hurt the Cav's psyche in game 2 and going forward?
I think Igoudala coming back is not as a big a deal as most will make it to be. Sure hes the most suitable defender to guard Lebron but he hasnt played this version of LBJ yet that is putting up over career best 35 avg in playoffs but if he is still out, advantage Cavs. Dubs still arent quite the same without him.
The Cavs cant afford to lose both players to suspemsion. They need to beat the Dubs in rebounding to have a chance in this series and both players provide that and Love is the 2nd option on the offense. Everyone else is too inconsistent. If one of these players are out i find it hard to bet Cavs
And if this happens to LBJ's last year in Cleveland i dont think he will quit just because his teammates might because of how game 1 went down. He will still give it his all. There wont be some pretty games thats for sure but i just dont see this Warriors team sweeping like many are suggesting.
For some reason i feel like this Finals may play out like the 2015 version with maybe a couple twists. Maybe Warriors do go up 2-0, Cavs win 2 at home and Warriors win next 2 or maybe we get a 1-1 split like i am thinking. We'll see what kind of drama unfolds the next few days

DK: lebron ain’t quitting. We can both agree on that. It’s been his year this year. He proved with love out in game 7, on the road, he could still get it done so even if players are suspended, you know he will get his at the very least. It’s clear that the script this year for lebron is to show everyone that with a supporting cast, sky is the limit yet this year he hadn’t had much help. For him to get to the finals this year, I have to agree that’s its ALMOST as much an achievement as winning another title. Even lebron haters have to respect what he’s done. It seems like every game he is breaking a record too. Last nite he tied MJ with most 30 point games in the playoffs and I believe he is closing in on Jabbars point total in the playoffs. I would expect that every game in the finals, he goes over 30. As crazy as it for me to say, I think the warriors know his greatness and actually feel for the guy in that he doesn’t have much support. I see them giving him his points but bottling up everybody else. The game needs it, the ratings need it and the league itself needs it.
As for betting these games, I truly feel the Cavs are owed one from last nite. Not sure when it comes but I don’t think they get swept. Simply taking the points for the cavs going forward may be the route I go; not sure. I may just stick with segments of the game too considering the warriors, when they want, can easily turn the switch against the Cavs. When I look at the replay of the end of regulation, it was very clear what was going on with that call being reversed. You can’t overturn that call. You can’t give the super team reversed calls that late in the game. The ejection of Tristan was a joke too. Everybody knows who the better team is yet now we are stopping the game and giving calls to the warriors. If you watch lebron on the next drive, he clearly gets hit at the rim but no call for an AND 1. Watching lebron in the postgame was tough to watch. With every reason to question his team, he didn’t. With every reason to give the media his thoughts in how he dominated that game, he still talked team first. I hated lebron when he went to Miami but since returning to Cleveland, I respect the hell out of his new game and how we handles himself. He needs to leave Cleveland; he owes them nothing. His owner is a piece of sh@t and his gm made one of the dumbest trades ever in giving Kyrie away. At this point, I think lebron wants to end a great year the best way he can and if that means going for 35/10/10 every nite in the finals, so be it.

Well said achilles. That is also my thought process going forward altho probably wont be betting on every game.
I respect Lebron alot more for going back to Cleveland and facing the fans that once burned his jersey. Takes alot of guts for someone to do that and while being under constant scrutiny of MJ's shadow throughout his career. He is a complete player now like MJ was in 92-93, couldnt say that about him early in his career and in the early years of Miami but to me LBJ started to mature a bit after getting humbled by Dirk Nowitski, still wasnt quite a complete player when he won his 1st title. I think 2012-13 is when he had became a complete player with clutch playoff games and beating the Spurs in 7. If only he had a more complete cast like he did in Miami, he wouldve won at least 2 in Cleveland. Now i think LBJ is in that stage where Jordan began the 2nd phase of the Bulls era. Whether that championship future stays in Cleveland or somewhere else i think he has one or two more titles waiting for him. I see LBJ finishing his career with 5 rings, but he'll need a complete team to accomplish that. MJ needed a cohesive team especially in his 2nd phase to accomplish what he did.

Philly and LA are the teams where many feel lebron goes but Houston is the spot imo. It’s a perfect fit. He can play off the ball and really play any position. Get rid of Capela, have CP3 take a bit less and offer lebron max money. Harden, CP3 and Lebron wax the warriors a$$es if that happens. Another situation I can see is lebron MAYBE staying and they go out and get Paul George or Kawhi and Cousins. Cleveland had no issues laying the luxury tax so if they could somehow getvlove abd Thompson out with JR, you can fill the roster with ease. I’m sure Lebron would love to stay put in Cleveland but that owner and gm of his are dumb as rocks. We’ll see. I can promise yountgiihhbthe wheels are already turning in his camp as to what he wants his next move to be.

was looking at sportsinsight twitterfeed for game 1 %'s
so game 1 public was on the Cavs spread at 52%? does that jive with the info you got achilles? didn't know that. i guess that would make sense to let the public cash the spread but not ML at same time or books lose big time
game 2 currently it's 62% for Cavs spread, not sure about ML tho. its a shame though if we cant hit one of these MLs... you'd have to think Lebron wins at least one improbable game on the road, seem like game 1 was it, is there another one on the way? Cavs didn't win one at all on the road last Finals, won 2 the other time and 1 before that. you have to think maybe 1 game the Dubs will crack... which one? game 2, 5 or 7? i have to think game 2 or 5... 7 seems too farfetched this isn't the Boston series...

Spread was about 50/50 for sure but Cavs ML was in the 80 percent range. Personally I feel Game 3 could be the game the Cavs have a good shot in. I believe after game 2, there is extended rest again so the rest will help lebron big time. If the Cavs do get swept I wouldn’t be surprised if they covered 3 of the 4 or all. That way silver can say the series was give or take in all games. I don’t think they get swept though but then again I didn’t think the call would be overturned the way it was last nite. That call being overturned told me a lot about where silver is at.
