There is absolutely no way the players are told anything about how to impact the outcome of a game. PERIOD.

Uh, the NBA already gets a huge cut. How do you think they pay those salaries? Just home ticket, beer, food sales?  :>))  I can't prove it, but I feel it in my bones.
I'm sorry man, I don't buy the grand conspiracy. Salaries are paid by what you mentioned, but mostly by TV contracts. It's a pretty big business, I think they can afford the salaries. Do you also feel the weather or cycle of the moon in your bones? (joking)

I don't even understand what fairy tail YOU think is going on? You actually really believe that there is some grand conspiracy and the games are being dictated by betting and everyone is involved? Do you really believe that? Or has some seed been planted and when something at the end of the game happens weirdly (like a player doesn't run the clock out or something?), it's a validation? Or sometimes a series actually does follow a certain "script", that's a validation that there was actually a script? Come on man....

One referee who was making calls to personally gain from it financially does not at all amount to any larger conspiracy. It doesn't happen and never will in a major North American sport. It can't and it won't. There is too much vested interest for there to even have the perception of it being like the WWE.

One referee who was making calls to personally gain from it financially does not at all amount to any larger conspiracy. It doesn't happen and never will in a major North American sport. It can't and it won't. There is too much vested interest for there to even have the perception of it being like the WWE.

If there was a conspiracy, everyone would have to be involved. How would it work? Both teams receive the script pre-game and try and play it out accordingly? They have to fake it all along, knowing the final outcome? It's all an act? No player who was ever cut by a team and no longer has ties to the NBA has ever come forward publicly? How does the information get disseminated regarding the script? Verbally? In writing? Who is told and who isn't told?

would you mind defining superior, please? Boston is without their 2 main players and still playing on top level. Phil is a turnover machine team guided by a non-factor PG as Simmons.

If single person is told -- every player, every coach, every referee, etc., how has nothing ever come out publicly? How do they act the script out? If only a certain few people are told, how would that work? How do you control the people that are not in on it?

Corruption proven in pro sports all over the world, but somehow the American NBA is somehow so morally pure with non-greedy individuals running the sport at every level that makes it immune?

Where there's money involved, there's corruption. Where there are large amounts of money involved, there is significant corruption. The lessons from the history of human affairs are irrefutable.

The only idiots here are those too blind to see.

I hope to quit discussing this topic. We've beat a dead horse for too long. Let it lie in peace. Winning bets is what truly matters.

It could go either way. I actually think the public is very very much on Boston with only slight line movement (PK to -1 Boston). And so based on that I would put some weight towards Philly. Vegas will take a pretty big hit if Boston covers. But they take big hits all the time, and rake it in all the time from game to game. Despite the public betting on Boston, I still give them the slight edge. But like I said, would not be surprised at all if Philly wins.

What are you fishing for here? Yes the majority of the money is on Boston so they went from Philly -1 to Boston -1. That's the correct movement

Boston has actually been a huge windfall for Vegas this year. Most of the time the public has gone against them, time and time again. And they've continuously covered over and over. However, Cleveland alone has probably evened things out! Massive public betting on Cleveland all year, but one of the worst at covering ALL-TIME. Tonight can go either way man. I put a Unit on Boston but really should have put 0.5U....

Here's what has me thinking twice about laying quid on Philly. If my paid service is correct. Seems as though they are fairly solid with getting $ %'s over the years. The last 6 teams (games) that had the $ %'s on them have not covered the spread. I don't know if it goes 7 straight, or 6 out of 7 after tonight? This may sound worthless, but using these numbers has treat me pretty good over the decades.
