Talk N Text looked nothing like the championship team they are assembled to be. I think time is catching up on their vets. They are never 100% as a team. It's either a player or two is sidelined to an injury every conference. I think they should have been able to grasp Coach Norman's brand of basketball. Yes, they are not as explosive offensively as they were with Coach Chot but they made up for it with their inspired defense.
They dealt off Rabeh for Baclao which IMO is an upgrade. Kelly Williams is a couple more games back to being in game shape. Ryan Reyes isn't 100% but will be suiting up later. Ranidel is game-time but I'm going to guess he'll pass up on this one. They were unimpressive in their first win against Meralco. Don't put too much weight on their 63-77 defeat from Petron, if anything, they've played a lot better in the second half of that game.
Alaska will be the same team that allowed Barako Bulls to storm right back after posting a 15-point lead. Papers are saying that their 1-2 record is due to their inconsistent performance. IMO, the Aces are as consistent as they could get. They were caught napping with a surprise start by the EPainters and was too late in catching up. Their win against the Coffee Mixers is due to their opponent's injury and lack of any real rotation forcing their key guys to play almost 33+ minutes.
Alaska is a starting 5 heavy team. Their starting 5 logs heavy minutes and is their most productive unit on the court. The take away here is that the scheduling doesn't benefit the Aces. I think Talk N Text will be faster and better overall to rest and getting enough preparation for the game. Talk N Text should be able to match size-per-size here and pretty much come out on top to fresh legs.

3-1 this week. Only losing to the Aces last Sunday, which is kinda ridiculous because they were up 13 entering the fourth. Oh well..
So picks today will definitely be TNT since I hate Alaska, and Ryan Reyes is back with TNT though RDO might not be playing.
And Ginebra because they are just too good right now and the luck of Romeo would be gone for today as he'd probably be starstruck watching Caguioa.. :)
