I believe Barako is a dark horse in this conference. When you want to talk about size, you have to talk about Barako Bull! They are probably the biggest team in the league right now with Villanueva, Penissi, Marcelo, Anthony, Ballesteros, and Kramer. In addition to this, they still have Siegle and the very athletic Tubid who can be your slasher. Of course, now, when Tubid slashes to the basket and he gets double teamed, he can now pass the ball to someone in the wing.... a deadly three point shooter named Josh Urbiztondo. On the other hand, Air21 has upgraded its roster but I also believe they still don't have that "it" factor that would push them over the hump. Look for them to be the cellar-dwellars this season again as they brace for another adjustment period because of all the acquisitions.
Petron+1.5
They will still be w/o Lassiter and Lanete tomorrow but who cares? I still believe they are still the strongest team on paper right now. They have been underachieving the past few seasons and look for them to be motivated this season. Expectations are high for this Petron team and look for them to play all-out!

(Good start last Sunday with the over185.5 for the Ginebra/Global game. I think they hit that mark with 3-5 minutes left in the 4th. I had little play on the Ginebra spread too, but didn't post it here for I was not as confident with the play. Good thing both hit.)
AIR21/BARAKO BULL 195-OVER -I just saw that the under bet on this game is closed on MSW, probably because majority is pounding it. The under was my first lean actually, but after looking at Air21's new roster, seeing that they got a bunch of scorers (Canaleta, Custodio, Wilson), added to their go-to-guys Ritualo and Arboleda, this team will be running and gunning and running and gunning. They will try to score as much as they can, and hope that they score more than their opponent. Barako, while losing Miller in the off season, is a team that welcomes offensive games. They used to be shoot-a-lot-of-3s kind of a team, and with the departure of Miller, who likes to walk the ball a lot, I say they will run as well, especially with Urbiztondo taking the PG chores.
AIR21+5.5 -I like them in this situation, wherein they will face a not so strong of a team as their first assignment. This team went 0-14 last All-Filipino Conference, and that was reasonable because they had 0 firepower then. Now, they added depth and scorers on their wing rotation, so they won't have to rely on Ritualo alone. It may be a long shot for them to actually get a victory because they have no legit closer during crunchtime, but I feel they will keep this game close.
PETRON/RAIN OR SHINE 186.5-OVER -Yeah I guess I am testing if all teams will be coming out shooting on all cylinders just like in the Ginebra-Global Port game. I will just have to take into consideration that Petron has a new coach, one who isn't really a defensive oriented, a very good PG during his prime. I expect Petron to move the ball a bit better, not relying on 1 man to score (J. Wash), go for quick fastbreaks, and get a ton of offensive rebounds because of their advantage in height. RoS on the other hand, drafted a very good PG/SG combo (Tiu), one who can fill the shoes of Paul Lee should he not play today. They will keep on jocking up the long balls as usual, run and gun, and foul a lot. I just hope Petron will make the most of those freethrows.
*Again I am using MSW lines here.*
