Rondo was partial....everyone does heal at different rates....typical timetable for return is 8-12 months.   
The miami comment was a little silly; however I do agree that even if he had of come back a few weeks at end of the season it would have been pointless.  I would think that the bulls would rather him be 100% next year, than to force it if HE(which is all that matters) is not ready.  Just think not to long ago this is a career ending injury.   For what it is worth I am an Physical therapist and everyone is different.   And a lot of it is fear and the patient being hesitant to push through

He's still not his old self, he said when he feels mentally he can dunk like he used to he will come back, makes perfect sense to me, he came back before not 100% and got hurt all over again. Why come back 70 or 80% thats dumb, he's a franchise player, besides a 70% Rose probably aint better than the rest of the pgs in the league. You guys sound like alot of boxing fans who boo when guys arnt constantly exchanging in the ring, youre not the one taking the punches, youre just considering your own selfish entertainment needs, youre not D Rose either, he's shown one of the biggest hearts on the court and surely he wants to play bad, but he doesnt want to play if he cant be dominant like he was.

And for all the people talking about warm ups its not like actually playing....shooting, straight line running, and even jumping to dunk do not stress like cutting, playing defense, or driving to hoop....the lateral cuts are the problem

He is very humble I would agree and one of my favorite players.. physically he is better, mentally he seems better.. he just dont want to come back this season. . Plain and simple..I would agree with on him not coming back but all signs lead to ready... hell theres alot of other pl I players in nba or even with worse injurys that in same situation wouldnt be sitting on bench... 
No one truley no how he feels or if he cares..  but as it is it looks like he dont give a $ hit

Hes cut on it already.. played one on one and practiced with multiple players.. read that his trainer said hes cutting extremly well...and dunking off each leg.. even stated that he looks ready.. its up to him... 
For all the people that keep making excuses for him ... its all up to him... hes been doing everything like normal... just hes not ready aka dont want to play this season at all...

Ive watched alot of tape of him warming up and drills, looks awkward to me, doesnt look like the D Rose of old at least not to me.

He could be back or sit back and collect his check. We know what he's doing. RG3 will play before him in a far physical sport. No longer a superstar for me.
And the dumbest argument is "Bulls suck they won't beat the Heat". It is pure shii. Anything can happen in the playoffs. It is unlikely they would beat the heat but he is there best player and should be out there. Been way to long.

NBA is the one sport where over a series anything doesnt just happen, the best team normally wins it all in the NBA.

Whats even more pathetic is that the when derrick rose was 100% healthy before the injury, in 2011 eastern conf. finals Bulls had a deeper bench than miami had the #1 seed and the BULLS STILL LOST.  Bulls gave it their best shot and they were eliminated in 5 games.  They were not a challenge whatsoever to the Heat.

D. Rose is not coming back because he doesnt want to get embarassed by Deron williams.  Also you have that chicago coach to blame for his injury.  Last year before rose went down he kept changing the starting lineup every game or every other game for the last 15 to 20 games. (Tryingto be poppovich)

just like how Lebron plays for team Nike. he signed a 100 million deal with them before he ever stepped foot on the court for the Cavs as a rookie and imagine how much more he has made in other endorsements since then. That is why he doesn't care about only making 15 mil a year for Miami since that is only a small portion of his overall income. same with Rose. Only difference is that Lebron has heart and actually wants to play basketball and win championships unlike Rose who only cares about his money. he is definitely a pu-ssy for not bein out there for the playoffs. they were pretty dam-n good with him last year and could have been even better this year and could have maybe beaten Miami.

for everyone backing Rose. If he was cleared by the dr.'s a long time ago, then he should be playing period. end of discussion. cleared by dr. = 100% healthy and fully recovered knee

You guys are clueless. Have you ever played any sport at a high level? Or suffered an injury like this? So he's cleared by doctors big deal he hasn't played in a game situation in a year. Do you think he's in game shape?? Let alone playoff game shape? Him coming back now after that long of a layoff is very risky and not worth it at all. Rose wont make a difference now they know that. Wait for next year when the team is healthy. They will be back on top. Don't risk the next 10 years to try and win 1 round this year.

To the people sayin who cares they couldnt beat miami anyways.... Well theres no team that can beat miami so shoukd all the other teams just quit and stop playing cuz on paper they cant win. Rose shoukd b playing even at 75% hes still a stud and makes his team much better. Who knows maybe heat would suffer injury to lebron or wade

The team Doctors (employees of the Chicago Bulls, for those slower readers on here) do and say what the team instructs them to do/say. Can you say conflict of interest? Rose will come back when he's ready to come back (probably when his own Doctor tells him it is okay).

How many times have team Doctors cleared a player only to have them immediately re-aggravate an injury that wasn't fully healed. The people on here saying Rose has no heart are idiots.

If Derrick would be like a regular PG, i would agree that he's a box, pathetic or whatever. But he's like a new "prototype" for Point Guards, like RG3 is for Quarterbacks. If he needs to stay another year off the court, good, but when he comes back i wanna see Derrick Rose, the MVP, and not "Rajon Rose" or "Derrick Nash".

I can't believe more players (former and current) haven't called him out for this.  I've had 3 ACL surgeries...never took longer than 6-8 months to be back running and playing sports.  Granted, I'm not playing in the NBA, but he has every doctor, trainer, equipment at his disposal.

Scariest part for Bulls fans is that it sounds like physically he's fine, but mentally he's scared to play.  Not good looking forward for a guy like him to be scared to play.  Philly and Arizona said the same about Kevin Kolb...got scared to get hurt...played like

His trying hard to emulate Jordan only difference is Jordan went to play baseball for a season and Rose got injured. He wants it to be like "his back" moment and he believes the team the Bulls have can't do it so he is being selfish and waiting for next season.

Did anyone hear that story the commentators told during the Nuggets/Warriors game about Andre Miller only missing 3 games in his 14 year playing career? They said there was one game where he had a problem with his shoulder and the coach told him he wasn't fit to play according to doctors but Miller still went on to play. 

I don't care how injured you are, If you have the will to play you will play, It's a psychological thing, and unfortunately Derrick Rose has about as much desire to play as conspiracy theorists have brain cells.
