Let's add everything positive a player does  and subtract the negative things to get his total contrbution to his team.

Simple................points scored + rebounds +assist + steal + blocks - turnovers - missed shots and find the true mister versatile................................

These arguments are the worst. Having witnessed both. Jordan is a better player. He was robbed of a few MVP's and his two year hiatus cost him some more titles.

I appreciate both players and really just kind of separate them. I don't think its fair to compare the two. I prefer Jordan vs Kobe. And I group LeBron with Magic and Larry. That's just me though.

The more pressing question is if you were a GM and had to pick one of the 2 for the entirety of their careers, and with the uncertainty of LeBron's future, who would you choose?

Remember Jordan without Pippen? Or Jordan's failure with Orlando in 95? And his limp with the Wizards?

He was closer to Carmelo Anthony those first few years than people realize. That statement will net me a lot of grief. Jordan was a much better all around player. But just sit back and think about Jordan before 1991 when he got the ring.
