Do not dare to say Michael Jordans name in the same sentence as u-know-who (the king of course). Its a disgrace. Its not even close whos the better player of these two. Yeah if u want to compare something relevant, than compare durant to michael jordan. But to compare the king of basketball with MJ? Lmao, please stop it. U make urself look stupid.

you forget that Jordan went to college

all these awards are pointless too

going back to about 4 years ago they started giving the MVP to the best player

if they gave the MVP to the best player in the 90's and 2000's

ask yourself this:

Why did Jordan not win it every year?

Was Kobe really the best player in the league once?

Yeah the MVP thing slightly overrated, to compare this dude with his 2rings (spurs choked away) to MJ or kb at this point is premature. Steve Nash has mover Mvps than KOBE and Shaq I believe so........

He's spot on. It's not close he just mixed up where the names should go. 
Still think this is a stupid comparison. If you watched the league 20 years ago you know it. The main thing is D was D you could hand check, no flagrant fouls so you could try to hurt someone with no extra penalty , they let guys play so Jordan had to drop his #s and win his games GETTING MUGGED for 48 minutes. It made it even more amazing Jordan did what he did. In today's rules I have no clue how Jordan would do, and frankly neither do you, but I think the numbers would be staggering. Lebron's fun to watch and is definitely this era's Jordan but comparing stats when rules changed in different eras is stupid. But stupid as it is I still feel Jordan is better.

When players start to get toward the greatness level, what is the first thing people start to mention?  CONSISTENCY.

"He's very talented, but he needs to be more consistent."

"He's a great player, but the next step will be to be more consistent."

Lebron has reached greatness, but he's not Jordan.  Period.

MJ is the best athelete of all time, let alone basketball player. so u want to discredit jordan for everything he did after 28 years old? i can do that too. at the age of 25 kobe won 3 kings. hes better than lebron.....and we know he is not. stupid illogical thinking by you. all you have to say is jordan has 6. lebron has 2. done

I agree with almost everything you said, but two things. Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete ever in all sports, and Wilt wasn't bad either. Russell is the GOAT in basketball. Lebron is not in MJ territory, and I don't think he ever will be.

Disagree w Russell.  Played in era w no free agency and minimal# of teams (8 or so) for period where they only had to win few series to get chip.  Thus, the 11 rings have to be put in context.   Hes up there for dominating chamberlain teams, but ? How the 60s celtics in their prime would have fared against best teams of 80s.  Have to go w MJ
