I really need some help guys I know I've been slamming big any range between 1-5g per play but I've been hitting alot of them the only thing screwing me over is these last Minute garbage plays , or losing by .5 - 1, 2 points . And I think I got to stop playing live . What should I do completely stop betting or do a smaller bankroll? Even though I'm down 50g I can still afford to play the same amount I just want to make make back mostly of it , if not all of it , and I cant imagine myself playing 100, 250 dollar games thats like winning 250-500 games that's nearly impossible maybe 1g per play? anything tips and pointers would be really appreciated ty fourms if anyone can help me day to day basis I can venmo them for the help per weekly basis

I think you posted in another thread that you lost 5k on a 2H bet-
youve got to stop betting quarters, halves, player props and most of all, live bets and stick to full game spreads and/or full game totals, if that is your thing. With half bets you are probably chasing and then you end up losing more. The odds on those bets are way worse than full game bets.
I used to do this, and chase when I thought the 2h would be a sure thing but i learned the hard way. So about 8 years ago now, I wrote it down that I wouldnt make any more quarter, half, or player prop bets and honestly have never regretted it. For every live, halftime or quarter bet you win you will lose 2 or more in the long run, I guarantee you, because you just dont have the time to do a thorough analysis.

I been having bad beats too, but my wagers are not as big as yours. I think we are chasing and making bad decisions plus live betting has made some of these outcomes look shady. Maybe take a break and put your money on value stocks (Visa, Alibaba, etc)

I don't play quarters or player props but yeah ima stop playing 2nd halves , sometimes the live helps me get out of a 10-20g debt week and sometimes it puts me down 20g

I look at spread and O/U and bet depending on the situation. But I NEVER bet quarters, halves, or live anymore, no matter how much I'm tempted to. Personally, I hate betting unders especially in the NBA so unless there is a really high total or other compelling reason to bet under I will lay off of unders

This is spot on. If you REALLY want to make back the 50G, you have to slow down, maybe even take a break. I know that’s counterintuitive, but I guarantee you will lose even more if try to win back the $50G with larger bets and chasing.
If I were you (and if I can afford it), play only straight bets of $1k per game. Be selective and don’t bet all the games on the board each night. Believe it or not, I was down more than $300K in a year, and have won it back even made a profit. Good luck to you.

If the spread is too hard, best to bet on Totals. I suggest to stay away from quarter bets.
my best strategy that works so far is to research about the past games of the teams. The previous games the play, check the results and stats and if the same players will play. Research if some players will not play, if that certain player was significant in the previous game then it could affect the next game.
also I stay away from bets that the public is pounding on. If 80% of the public is betting on it, then i stay away and look for higher win probability picks.
It is also best to secure money. If you won 10g,then secure 5g and use the half for the next day. don’t over bet. Picking 1-3 games a day is enough.

Yeah 50K is not a small amount of money, but I agree that with appropriate discipline you can make it back. But you have to understand that you cant do it in a week, or a month, or even 6 months. Give yourself a year, with the goal of being up 1K a week, and if you win more than that, set a stop-loss for yourself so you dont lose your winnings. You'll make up that 50K before you know it if you stick to full game spreads or totals and avoid all the other garbage bets

Crypto is too risky at this point. If you have 50G put it on a reliable stock like Visa, Disney, Alibaba. A safe company that has been trading flat the last year. You might have to wait 1-2 years for it to double, but at least you can’t lose it in 3 hours. Even if you bet 1-2k per game the juice is gonna kill you over time.

I bet big ($3k-$$15k per game) and played a lot of parlays, FH, FG, and second half. I have since cut out all those stupid bets and do only straight wagers on FG.

Stop betting live if it caused you to place more action. I've known couple of bettors who lose more betting live because they have the tendency and freedom to chase losses.

you're chasing too hard trying to make what you lost back through 2H and live bets. just have 3-4 bets of what you like alot per day and bet those. don't bet anything else unless they've won and you can increase your sizing to make it more profitable. i made the mistake of betting 2H which i normally don't like to do any more because these books know you're trying to chase your bets. I'm up for the week so I still like to bet 1Q but I wouldn't recommend them.
live bet is for chumps and I'm glad I cut those out. 2H I still do but it can be counter productive to the 3-4 plays you make per day. have a standard sizing of what plays you like and for the plays you really like, bump it up a little more. I still go 2-2 or 3-3 for the day and still make money because of my bet sizing.

In the long run this is the only way IMO to make money-
My standard bet is 1K per game and I will throw in a very rare parlay or teaser here and there for $250 or $500
you have to remember that parlays and teasers exist to take your money. The odds are already against you with the vig that the books charge even for a straight bet.

Try to middle the games live ! U can watch them live at NBAbite on redditt . Last night Phoenix -3.5 The live line went down when Toronto had the lead to pick . Then went way up in third qtr to maybe 6 . Thus you bet the favorite when it moves down 2 or more and then wait to it moves up 2 or more ! Example Phoenix at P lay 1100 to win 1000 then hedge the bet when it moves up to 5 or 6 and take Toronto at +6 1100 to win 1000 ! Here you risk $100 to win $2000 Final Phoenix 104 Toronto 100 you win $2000 . Look at the bet graphs and see the wide variety live lines . If you can get a swing of 3 points either way you would have won 3 yesterday !

Man. Maybe try to buy points for a bit but that can get you in trouble. Turned $200 into $2700 last week by betting -400 odds but I've had some close calls too. You need to slow down though maybe just bet $10 plays for a while and wait for something you really like for a real bet

Don’t want to be that guy but it sounds like you need professional help. If you’re blowing 50k and trying to rationalize how to keep doing it maybe it’s time for a break. Gambling should be fun, recreational while winning some scratch in the process but you’re way past that point. Not hating at all. I just think you should recognize this before it gets worse.
good luck
All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy

No I totally I understand . It's not fun at this point, when I win 1-5k I feel nothing and when I'm losing its horrible .
I've decided from now on i'm just gonna play 500-1k plays and 1-3 max plays and just on standard fg nothing else , even though i won more on live than on regular striaght bets. Like today I lost 5g on pelicans +3 but on live there was a play on pelicans +5 and +6.5 and I also played blazers -9.5 but I chased it when they was -3.5 they covered the 3.5 but not 9.5 . My site on live has 6-8 actions play from every line has way better odds and juice on the spread especially early in the game too , I know some sites only has 1 or 2 lines available so that's why live might not be a good play for some people but it honestly help out alot , I've been just getting screw over on those standard 5g play not live.
