Tridge, if ur to wishy washy and can't make up your mind on a game, then it's probably best off to pass the game! Cause I see that u changed picks on many of your games!!! Be more decisive on a side if ur gonna bet or pass the game bud!

When you're open and learning new concepts (a good thing in my book), you need to be slow about integrating new methods into your existing system (thought paradigm). Our basic systemology needs to facilitate a very slow adaptation (evolution) rate because it takes some degree of experimentation and new validating data before one can effectively integrate and evaluate major new changes.
And I am saying this from experience and not necessarily directing this at you Tridge... When I have tried to change my system too rapidly, without validating things one small step at a time, I have stirred up a whole new set of problems and created a huge new mess for myself.
Sometimes, I seem to be flooded with SO MANY new good ideas that basically, I find myself feeling overwhelmed. I need to take a deep breath, step back, and take the very best new facet of play I've come across and then SLOWLY integrate that one thing into my system (or thought process); evaluating very carefully (with new data) one systemic change at a time. I find that I have to be very wary risking new funds before I have thoroughly tested new theories. That hasn't been kind to me.
Right now, I'm at the kind of nexus that I'm referring to above... I have a lot of new, exciting, and promising stuff I'd like to integrate into my system (like WizardOfOdd thinking). However, I know dead to rights... I can't throw the baby out with the bath water. My basic system (the Grand System Prognosticator (sarcastic euphemism intended)) is not tearing the world up, but it works (somewhat) and I understand it (a spreadsheet program).
I have to go about modifications slowly or I'm going to confuse and confound myself into a strait where I feel like throwing my hands (been there... done that.). I well know this, but find myself having to mentally check myself anyway.
Tridge, I watched you before I ever signed up at Covers. You were doing real good man. You had an excellent W/L record. Don't lose your confidence. Whatever modifications you do make, test them out first. Then when you're ready to play, maybe pass them through a final JUDGEMENT FILTER. My judgement filter is a general rule set written down in my computer, with which I try to assess every wager... AFTER my GSP (Grand System Prognosticator) has spit out the wager.
Your final filter may be just a mental sieve. Possibly, a final pass "no play" process that you are primarily applying by experience and sense of instinct. Some of you guys have that kind of savvy and instinct. And that's cool... I very much respect that.
Anyway, hang in there Tridge. Phanman is talking about possibly taking a little sabbatical I read... which rings a common bell in my head. I'd probably be smart to do exactly the same thing right now. Sometimes you just have to step away from the problem for a bit and let things roll around in your head. Take a mental vacation and smell the roses for awhile. Not a bad thing.
As always and in any event, I appreciate your efforts in this forum, Tridge. And I wish you the very best, man...

I dont so much bet on teams as I bet on consensus, line movment, then my own personal opinion on what will occur in the game. earlier in the day I liked how things were looking for those teams, and later adjustments made me change my thinking.... went 2-1 on the games I changed so I think that was a positive. I hear you tho if I were just guessing on my picks, I've stayed away from many a game when too many things are pointing in the opposite directions.
I will be playing each game tonight. BBL with the picks, boss is here today so I've got to act like im worth keeping on the payroll

Well yes actually I calculated that by april 16th (last day of the season) my system should produce between 9-13k betting 100-200$ a game. Lofty goal, doubt I get it but worth a shot. The System has produced 6 consecutive winning weeks ranging from $10 to $1500. I figure with 16 weeks remaining in the season I've got a shot!!
