I love how people scream that a line is fishy, but don't say what they think it should be.

The Cavs are still the #1 seed, and demolished the C's in Boston last week, so Boston's homecourt obviously ain't worth that much.

The oddsmakers are obviously expecting an intense, closely contested game with the C's squeaking it out on their home floor, hence the tight line.

What's fishy about that?

Agree with post #2... Lebron's circus ends tonight...throw Chicago in the mix as well. More in place than NY. Still a major market.

sharp money is on BOSTON - 1 (a few days ago ) and under 194....   for what its worth ...not saying this is my pick...I am leaning Celts who I hate, grew up a Knick fan = Boston hater..good luck whatever you do

     I read your posts every day, I got mad respect for you and also some of the other cappers named above that are leaning towards or are on the Cavs tonight, and it really makes me want to find a way to bet Cleveland... 

     Thing is I don't think it's a fishy line, I think it's spot on... Vegas knows they will get plently of Cleveland $$ whether they put it out at +1.5 or +3 or even -1.5... 

    I see the angle of taking the dog to fade public perception.. (the blowout game 5, the elbow, LB's recent play, Rondo's dominance) And you figure the average bettor is backing Boston at home..  Add that to theories that LB will bounce back, Stern wants 7 games, blah blah..  The Cavs do though seem situationally like a good play, and normally I am inclined to bet that way..

    Thing is tonight I think the Celtics will be able to play loose and keep the pressure on the Cavs.. I think the flow of the game will come easier to them, and the Cavs will feel the pressure and force it... That and with the home crowd, I see that being a much more likely scenario than LB being Superman and saving the Cavs..

     Not saying it's the best bet in the world, I'm only gonna play a few units myself, but...

      - Boston - 1.5

     Think I like the under too.. should see some tough defense from both sides...

SO MUCH OF THE "LAST PERFORMANCE" RESONATES IN OUR HEADS AND WE REACT TO THE LAST GAME WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE...

IS LEBRON REALLY GOING TO CHUMP OUT LIKE THIS.???....

THIS SERIES HAS THE MAKINGS OF A CLASSIC...AND CLASSIC SERIES GO 7 GAMES....



EITHER CAVS ML OR NO PLAY ON THE GAME AND WAIT TIL HALFTIME

My initial read on this is Celts. I still can't find anything that stands out with the Cavs... they don't match up well and the Green Machine is playing as a team and Rondo has really stepped up into the Catalyst role getting everyone involved.... everyone I have talked to say Cle to force a game 7... I still don't buy it... Can 1 Queen beat a Team... ?????

Personally I don't care for either team as a Laker Homer, but the only reason I can think of to play Cle is Stern and the Krooked NBA... IMHO... so I'm right where I started 2 days ago...

THERE WILL BE BLOOD IN THE 2ND HALF THOUGH, THAT IS ONE THING I CAN GUARANTEE

You're smokin rocks. Cleveland is still the #1 overall seed in the playoffs, and they demolished Boston in Boston in game three, so obviously the Cavs can win there.

You would lose your job as a linesmaker INSTANTLY putting out a Boston -4 tonight.

Thebetterbettor is right on:  I would be all over Cleaveland +4.  That would be a huge play.  However, it's not and I'm not on Cleaveland.  I took boston money-line...and felt the upset and I wanted to take cleveland in game 6 and then go Huge on game 7.  However, Bron Bron discrespected the game therefore the game(refs) is/are going to disrespect Bron Bron by giving his team no love and very few suspect calls.  Good luck to all!!!!

MOst people are on the cavs. Walk into ANY sports book in town and ask 10 people who there betting tonight and they will say

I think the only good bet tonight is a no bet.
Just don't know what Clev team is going to show up.
Is LBJ going to be fired up like last time off a big loss or is he going to look ahead at the big money he will get as an unrestricted free agent.?

You don't have to bet each game.
if it goes to game seven take Boston.
Teams ahead in a series 3-2 win the series 83% of the time

I PRAY the Cavs win and win game 7 so I can load up on Orlando and the +7 or so that the Cavs will be favored in the first game.

first, how can anyone possibly suggest that Boston is the Covers choice?  look... this isn't even close... i spent this morning doing a survey... there were more than 3 times as many on Cleveland as there were on Boston... 3 to 1, at least...

second, Lebron + Rose in Chicago is going to equal championships... quickly...

Enjoy, I think it's pretty much 50/50 right now as I'm browsing the forums, excluding covers.  I think Cavs roll tonight.  Public or not, Stern's can't afford his star to lose this one after all the talk on espn.  Bad for business.

Does anyone else feel as if there is no way in hell David Stern allows there to be no basketball until Monday.  If the C's were to close it out tonight that's 3 days until the next playoff game.  In any other sport conspiracy theories are BS but this is the NBA ....with that being said I feel as if the under is the play ...Vegas will be ahead of the curve sooner rather than later and they have been getting their asses handed to them all throughout the playoffs ....it ends tonight...
My local has already moved to 194...
