The 2016 Golden State Warriors
is the best regular season team in NBA history - no way they go down 0-2 at
home, just no way... right ?
Here is what separates elite
coaches from great coaches. Coach Popovich would have never let his players
chase a regular season record, he always saves his players best for the
playoffs. GS went all out to close the regular season and it's going to haunt them
- where every other team is in the 3rd round of the playoffs, the warriors are
easily in their 4th.
People thought Thunder had no
chance against the Spurs. Then after they beat them, claimed the Spurs were old
and tired and warriors are a different team. The Thunder are putting the NBA on
notice, this isn't the cakewalk that people expected for the Warriors.
Golden state was 37-0 this year
when leading by double digits at halftime. Now 37-1. Golden state was 9-0 this
year when Draymond and Klay scored 20+. Now 9-1. Okc is reminding everyone that
size still matters in the playoffs.
Let's not forget what we mentioned about
pressure prior to game 1. With the warriors not losing b2b games all season and
now down 1-0, the pressure will be mounting. GS will play better in game 2 as
they will most definitely shoot better and be more focused, but Durant and
Westbrook combined for 17/51, the team missed 10 free throws, and fell behind by 14
early. Not like they had the greatest game either.
“I mean, what's to celebrate?” Durant said afterward. “We
didn't win the championship. We're playing in the Western Conference finals
against a great team. We can't be too excited. It was a good win for us, but
we're not going to be jumping up and down, chest-bumping on the court. We've
got a lot more basketball to play.”
Thunder have now won 4 straight
against the Spurs and Warriors and 3 straight on the road at the toughest home
courts in the NBA. OKC is hungry and they will not be happy with a 1-1 split. Game 2 will be another close game decided in the
4th, OKC is not scared of oracle arena.
Thunder +9 (large)
Thunder +6 first half (small)

Nice write up totally agree. GSW and SA were 88-3 at home this year. Now they are 0-3 with OKC working there magic. Gotta take the points. Big thing for GSW they have to hit those 3s if they don't it's over. Can't believe other teams have not gone big against them it's a no brainer. Barkley was screaming about it on game one and calling out Dan LeBatard for saying OKC should go small

Nobody said we had to tail the plays. Again, take what you can use and leave what you don't want. That's the point in these forums. It's all good. I may not tail but what he says all makes sense. Totally agree. Just haven't posted yet
