    Lakeshow2424,

Forget about all the clowns here ... The way you were betting (chasing after a loss and picking Blazers for 3rd quarter) - it's the same way a person bets with a Roulette, the 3 pointer in the end of the 2nd quarter was inevitable ... it would have happened one way or another.

I know that telling you to stop right now probably won't be something you would find easy to commit, but I can tell you what you're going through is the same thing I was going through ... it's hard, I know ... but reloading is not the right answer.

Reloading is you succumbing to this devil/demon/however you name it - for me stop gambling was the best answer than reloading ... and yes, I did have thoughts but they have faded away and the longer I've been without gambling - the better I felt.

For me I lost $1,500 in 2015, and that is the loss I want to keep through the entire year and life ... I don't want to risk more money on this evil establishment ... the games can be rigged, can be twisted and can go through honestly UNKNOWN paths ... you never know if it would go over or under ... and one of the reasons the oddsmakers in Vegas set the line to +4.5 in the 1st half was for you to follow this exactly very pattern you were following ....

Throwing away 4.5 points as handicap/spread is easy ... the difficult (sorry, impossible) part is to know which way it would go ... and the same applies to Roulette with Black and Red ... you see it hitting 10 times Red and you think the next one would be Black ... there are no guarantees, and in fact the odds are stacked against you ... you risk 100 to win 90 at most (incl. withdrawal fees!)

The house risks 90 to win 100 at most (if not less than that because of fees it charges).

    It's a dead-end proposition... it's like getting married with a gold-digger....

Please get out of it as soon as you can ... if you have to bet - do it on yourself, and if you can't - then honestly let someone take control of your finances, so you would have no access to money! If necessary terminate your Moneybookers/Skrill account (it is possible) or any other means to gamble, so you won't get there again!

Bro thanks for your sound advice… As much as i want to quit gambling because of what it does to my finances i just can't do it. ill start suffering from depression. I tried quitting til april. I only lasted 3 days. At this point theirs just no possible way i can quit man. As sad and as pathetic as that sounds its the truth

You can stop, you have to give control of your finances to someone else (are you married? girlfriend?) - they must have control of these finances and of any means to DEPOSIT money into gambling establishments - and that would solve your problem.

    You HAVE to do this!

when you lose based on your own picks.... you start following hot streak peeps with medium size bets, thats what i do. dont make your own bets if you are on that losing streak until then when you get better you get your confidence back and you start capping your own games.

Then at that point, grind it out.... researching and garbage. dont make bets unless you're sure confident 75% or more. because in the end, this is moneymaking not gambling. put your mindset as this is a job not a a entertainment and a thing to gamble.

Honestly what a bunch of CRAP!!
Do you think he wasn't 75% confident that Lakers +4.5 in 1st half is a good bet to have?!

And in the end it's moneymaking - not gambling - how ridiculous!! Could he know Steve Blake would score a 3 pointer?!?! Even 4 seconds before the end of the 1st half Steve Blake himself couldn't know his team will get another 3 points ... that's NOT moneymaking, that's being an idiot!

Moneymaking is when you have something to innovate, become the next Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg, and if you can't then be an employee and make your living this way, go up the levels and try to be a manager or someone making a decent living ... THIS is NOT moneymaking ... it's pure gamble!

Would you say I was making money when I had this bet:

    https://www.gamblingstories.com/index.php?/topic/57-31st-of-december-last-day-of-2014/

It was another 3 pointer just in the end ... !
Who the hell knows how those things will go ...

There are no guarantees with this business, that's a FACT.
The vast majority of people lose in gambling, that's a FACT.

Even Ladbrokes claim on their website that:

    https://www.gamblingstories.com/index.php?/topic/8-my-best-way-to-stop-gambling/
    • Gambling should be entertaining and not seen as a way of making money

    That's a FACT.

    Those are facts.

    You however talk absolutely nonsense.

actually what you're saying is if i find a new thing like Steve Jobs its a sure thing people will buy?

Come on man, if you using this logic.... what Steve Jobs did wasn't a gamble?

LIFE IS A GAMBLE. stop preaching bro.

If you really want to get into it, everything is a gamble, if i get out of bed and walk on the streets how would i know my odds of being able to live the next day? You don't. You're odds are higher if you walk in a good neighborhood to a bad one.

If i start a business, thats a gamble too.

If i work at a business thats a gamble too (with companies going bankrupt without the workers even knowing it)

If i drive a car thats a gamble too (tell those that didnt think they will get killed by a guy driving while texting or under the influence)

If i go to Africa for a trip, thats a gamble too.

IF i fly thats a gamble too.

NOTHING IN LIFE IS A SURE THING EXCEPT not getting out of bed and dying.

all im saying is, moderate your bets, it can be a like a job, you can make money like a job.

What you're saying this thing we are doing here is BAD and we need to stop. Well you should preach that we should all die, we are gambling everything in life right now.

I mean, the Islamic Extremists are gambling right now too... they are hoping they can turn the tide on expanding Extremist Islam with their antics.

OR even Assad he gambled to stay alive and hope that the Syrian Rebels will fall apart... yep he staying alive so far.

You talk about decent living, tell those that invested in Maddoff or worked for companies that did well like Fannie Mae. Again.... everything in life is a gamble, what is a sure thing?

All im saying to lakeshow is to moderate and not think too much on those bets and research more and figure out what he wants to bet instead of being too aggressive or desperate.

    • Gambling should be entertaining and not seen as a way of making money

    That's a FACT.

    Those are facts.

    You however talk absolutely nonsense.

Bro i have a couple questions for you if you don't mind me asking…..Bro how much have you lost lifetime in gambling?? How old are you??? At what point did you finally say this is it I'm going to do everything i can to not gamble anymore??
