actually what you're saying is if i find a new thing like Steve Jobs its a sure thing people will buy?
Come on man, if you using this logic.... what Steve Jobs did wasn't a gamble?
LIFE IS A GAMBLE. stop preaching bro.
If you really want to get into it, everything is a gamble, if i get out of bed and walk on the streets how would i know my odds of being able to live the next day? You don't. You're odds are higher if you walk in a good neighborhood to a bad one.
If i start a business, thats a gamble too.
If i work at a business thats a gamble too (with companies going bankrupt without the workers even knowing it)
If i drive a car thats a gamble too (tell those that didnt think they will get killed by a guy driving while texting or under the influence)
If i go to Africa for a trip, thats a gamble too.
IF i fly thats a gamble too.
NOTHING IN LIFE IS A SURE THING EXCEPT not getting out of bed and dying.
all im saying is, moderate your bets, it can be a like a job, you can make money like a job.
What you're saying this thing we are doing here is BAD and we need to stop. Well you should preach that we should all die, we are gambling everything in life right now.
I mean, the Islamic Extremists are gambling right now too... they are hoping they can turn the tide on expanding Extremist Islam with their antics.
OR even Assad he gambled to stay alive and hope that the Syrian Rebels will fall apart... yep he staying alive so far.
You talk about decent living, tell those that invested in Maddoff or worked for companies that did well like Fannie Mae. Again.... everything in life is a gamble, what is a sure thing?
All im saying to lakeshow is to moderate and not think too much on those bets and research more and figure out what he wants to bet instead of being too aggressive or desperate.
Starting a business is a gamble, and innovation in general is a gamble ... but at least you innovate, you do something PRODUCTIVE when you try to do so. You don't have to be a risk-taker, you could be an employee if you want things to be slightly more solid, but life has NO GUARANTEES - that is the only thing I can agree with you about.
However - gambling - in this form - is a dead proposition - you have all the odds stacked against you - and yet you're claiming that has the same value like innovating something ... why NOT INSTEAD open a website like LiveScore.com and make profits from the ads? Be a tipster if you must (I would advocate not to) but don't risk your own money into something that would create a distraction for you and for your financial assets as well??
Gambling in this form, is the same as gambling in a Roulette! See my other thread here:
Gambling involves no skill. Gambling on the NBA is the same as gambling on Roulette. Gambling is not something productive.
It is the easiest way to hand over your financial assets to the owners of the gambling establishment, and so long you continue to play their game - you're digging yourself a hole, deeper and deeper!

Bro i have a couple questions for you if you don't mind me asking…..Bro how much have you lost lifetime in gambling?? How old are you??? At what point did you finally say this is it I'm going to do everything i can to not gamble anymore??
To be honest I don't think I could follow up with an exact figure of how much I lost in my life from gambling - but I would say I lost around $75,000 in my entire lifetime from gambling - and today I'm not in debt, I paid all my gambling debts and I don't need to give up my salary for the owner of a gambling establishment.
The last lesson for me was on the 6th of January where Phoenix played against Milwaukee, I picked the over 210 points, and the game ended 102-96 (198 points) - it's all documented here by the way (in my diary):
I lost 1000 GBP because of that game (that is equivalent of approximately $1,500 nowadays)...
- Does any of the players care about this game anymore? - Does anyone remember this game? - Would anyone ever talk about this game?
Apparently not but I don't forget and I don't forgive the gambling establishment for taking my hard earned money just like that. I had to work hard to repay the Credit Card debt of 1000 GBP that was caused by this game - and even if this is now behind me, I want to keep this bet as the last bet I ever placed in my life.
I'm much happier this way and I'm doing much better now without gambling. Everyday that goes by without gambling is an improvement of my own personal life.
