Houston vs Toronto : discussion thread. Please comment if you have one

Question

Ok guys, I have been researching this game since yesterday. Houston opened as a dog of +3 and quickly moved to -2. I'm assuming heavy money came in on Houston to move the line so quickly. Toronto has owned Houston at home in the recent matches. They are coming off an OT loss from a game they should have won. Now they have to get on a plane and fly back home knowing Chicago embarrassed them once again.

My initial lean was Houston because of the line movement and OT Toronto had to endure. However, I now feel like Toronto will get this Win at home.

I'm leaning Houston 1st half -1 ( I feel Toronto should start a little slow after such an enduring game and flight home. My only concern, Toronto has won the 1st half in the last 4 meetings.

Tough spot for both teams.  Don&#x27;t forget the Rockets are playing their 3rd game in 4 days even though they had a day off yesterday, they still had to travel from sunny Orlando to frigid Toronto.  Then they have to go back to Houston on Tuesday and then back north to Minnesota on Wednesday.  Toronto 4-1-1 ATS on back to back games.  And also, don&#x27;t forget that the flight from Chicago to Toronto is very short.  Toronto has played so many games on the road recently.  I am staying away from a side in this game.  The Over could be interesting though.

I have been watching the line movement today as well from -1.5 to -2 to -2.5 for half the day The only reason I can think of is due to the money still being placed on the rockets. I&#x27;m leaning towards rockets

Kush, you suggested that the Rockets backers should jump on the spread early for Max value, and it appears you're correct.

Sometimes schedule crunches and travel lead to more points being scored.

Digging in on defence requires effort and energy. Reading between the "lines", my instinct tells me that OVER might be the best play. However, I am ice cold, and trusting my reads requires a lot of faith right now lol.

Most likely I will watch this game, take some notes, and wait for a better spot

What i noticed is that the rockets are jacking up threes at an alarming rate. Also, in the past four games the raptors have been defending the three horribly! allowing just over 40%! I&#x27;m from Toronto and I love my raps but there&#x27;s no one to match up to Harden who I see having a good game. The last time these two played in Houston the rockets had Capela but they lost. They&#x27;ve gone 18-2 since his injury which shows they play better without him. Rockets are gonna murder them with the three ball.

If you consider Houston is one of the elite teams, you have to take rockets here, raps is terrible this season vs elite teams and they have been dogs for only few times so far this season, they won once(vs rockets) and lost all others and covered once against cavs, they cannot protect the rim and defend without bismack....their forwards are soft, I expect Ryan Anderson n Ariza will have a big game tomorrow, bol

Rockets are on a rollhard to fade this team because they are so explosive on offense. but if there is ever a letdown spot it could be this one. Raptors might be a little pissed they let one got away but they arent playing that good latelyRockets or no bet

Ok guysRaps can&#x27;t beat elite teams....However , they have only lost b2b games 3 times this year.2 of those loses came from being sandwiched between GS games. The other one came from the Clippers. Both of those teams are elite in my book....Still researching

I actually think Toronto gets it done today. The only significant injury for both teams is Capela on Houston. I think Toronto matches up well with Houston, and if the 3 isn't hitting early for Houston, it could become a big problem. Houston has won their last 7 games, and there 12-3 ATS last 15 games. But Houston is 1-8 ATS last 9 in Toronto, and the Home team in this series is 14-4-1 ATS last 19 games. With the absence of Capela, Toronto will get Valanciunas involved offensively early in the game. They handled Houston quite easily in Houston earlier in the year due to the matchups, and it can happen again at Home...

This is what happened yesterday when everyone said Chicago should win. Chicago did end up coming out with then win but just like raptors blew a lead, golden state blew a bigger one does that make golden state not elite? I personally think raptors will win by 6 or more Raptors played 15 of there last 17 on the road and they won majority of those games. Houston isn&#x27;t a elite team PLEASE look back at there schedule The 9 games they lost was to Utah, Memphis, goldenstate, Toronto , spurs and Cleveland and still have yet to face high certain caliber teams . GuysAfter further research I&#x27;m convinced oddsmakers will split the game halfs to a 50/50 ratio.Meaning one team covers one half and the other teamcovers the other. I can&#x27;t pinpoint from why data where this is going so I&#x27;m waiting until halftime. I actually have Toronto winning the  1st half and Houston the 2nd half. There&#x27;s a game that happened this year that you can "kind of" compare to this one. I know diff teams but same situation.The Grizzlies were on a b2b and after overtime @ Detroit. They won SU as dogs. The Grizz are also a very good b2b team like the Raptors.Raptors are coming off overtime as well but dogs at home instead of dogs on the road.Not really sure how this can help lol...all I can think of is that there is value on the Raptors now, no matter what the circumstances were to cause a line movement.GL what you choose

Toronto is 5-0 ATS coming off a loss a a favorite.

This tells you they play harder off a loss where they should've won.

Give credit to the Bulls, Doug McD, Wade and especially Jimmy Butler for pulling out that 24-point turn-around.

My system tells me the Raptors have a 54% of winning straight-up here.

I am on Raptors 1st Quarter and making a "fade the public" play on the full game.

I find that information to be very important. Everything in life has a pattern. The route we take to work, the time we leave to work , etc...

Pattern is the reason people go on tilt mode. Losing gets you doubting yourself and you create a pattern of losing.
