How do the Lakers do after losing a game by more than 5 points? Here's another reminder...

Since the middle of January, the Lakers have lost eleven times by more than 5 points. Let's see how they did in their next game...

After losing to the Clippers 133-115, the Lakers defeated the Spurs 113-104 on January 25th (covered by 1 point)

After losing to the Nets 121-104, the Lakers defeated the Knicks 129-123 on January 31st (covered by 7.5)

After losing to the Bucks 115-106, the Lakers defeated the Warriors 109-103 on February 11th (covered by 11.5)

After losing to the Blazers 127-115, the Lakers defeated the Pelicans 120-102 on February 15th (covered by 13.5)

After losing to the Grizzlies 121-109, the Lakers defeated the Thunder 123-117 on March 1st (covered by 9)

After losing to the T-Wolves 110-102, the Lakers defeated the Warriors 113-105 on March 5th (covered by 13)

After losing to the Bulls 118-108, the Lakers defeated the Bulls 121-110 on March 29th (covered by 7.5)

After losing to the Clippers 125-118, the Lakers defeated the Suns 121-107 on April 7th (covered by 1 point)

After losing to the Grizzlies 103-93, the Lakers defeated the Grizzlies 111-101 on April 22nd (covered by 6)

After losing to the Grizzlies 116-99, the Lakers defeated the Grizzlies 125-85 on April 28th (covered by 35.5)

After losing to the Warriors 127-100, the Lakers defeated the Warriors 127-97 on May 6th (covered by 27)

So that's now 11 in a row, winning those eleven games by an average of 14.2 points and covering them by an average of 12 points. That's a huge average margin against the pointspread.

The Lakers went 8-3 ATS in the 1st halves of these 11 games, and they went 10-1 ATS in the 2nd halves. Let's again check out the 2nd half scores...

Tonight will be the 4th time in these playoffs that the Lakers are playing at home after losing on the road. They lost in Memphis by scores of 103-93 and 116-99 and rebounded with home wins of 111-101 and 125-85. They lost in San Francisco 127-100 and rebounded with a home win of 127-97.

Tonight will also be the 4th time in these playoffs the Warriors are playing after winning a game by more than 10 points. They beat the Kings in Game 3 by a score of 114-97 and then barely defeated them 126-125 as a 7.5-point favorite. They beat the Kings 120-100 in Game 7 only to lose Game 1 to the Lakers 117-112 as a 4.5-point favorite. And then they beat the Lakers 127-100 in Game 2 only to get crushed 127-97 in Game 3.

I'm on the Lakers +150 to win the series and I'll be laying the points tonight for sure. And, if the Lakers aren't already too far ahead at halftime, I'll be betting them in the 2nd half, too.

Can’t disagree. Add the fact that Wiggins is hurt, the team has chemistry issues, the Warriors are 3-9 against these refs combined, and this looks like a done deal.

Those stats are compelling, but it just seems too easy to pick the Lakers here.  Many said the same thing about the sixers at home yesterday. Warriors with their backs to the wall are like wounded animals. I wouldnt call it a done deal just yet. Game is currently off the board at my book, probably pending news on wiggins.  Thinking of taking the W's, but will wait and see if I can get a better number.

Thank you for the stats. GS blew the last game in LA. GS has been crap on the road so I’m going w Lakers and Heat . I have a lot on the Heat -4 . The Heat  had their bad game last game in NY so I see them winning and covering unless the Heat lose their ruby slippers and become the Heat of the regular season again. Last night 2 visiting teams won (Doc Rivers should be fired - his star Embiid didn’t have the ball much down the stretch and it was ugly. I feel if you bet Heat and Lakers you go 2-0 or 1-1 at the very least . I have a winning side (yesterday Texas Rangers RL w Heat -3 going  on top of a fat straight bet w Heat . Good luck

Those are awesome numbers for those 11 games and I will feel real stupid if I go against them.  But I think the script(man this place is rubbing off on me:)) is Warriors win and Lakers take game 7.  Wow, will that get peoples undy's in a bunch.  Can you imagine the ratings for that Sunday night game.

Warriors have to feel they brought enough needed to get it done last game at Crypto.com arena.  It just slipped away to a guy named Lonnie.  They did get it done 2 times on the road against the Kings.  I think their bad road trend against winning teams can be thrown out when the Warriors feel their backs are against the wall.  I think that situation has happened in 3 playoff road games(2 games were the chance of going down 3-1 which is almost always never good).  Only 2 wins in those 3 games but it could of easily been 3.  That impresses me.

It seem 2ez 2take Warriors game 5. How that turned out. The playoffs so far in hindsight seem fairly ez this season. Cappers that didn't over think shit should be in the positive right now.
