By now you've probably heard that certain unkind things were posted about you last night on the largest sports betting message board in the world, Covers.com. Covers.com is not normally known as a place where cruel invectives get thrown around aimed at athletes, coaches, and teams except for before games are played, while they're being played, and after they've been played. Other than those times Covers is a place of intellectual discussion and quiet reflection.
But last night, while you were busy working your tail off trying to help your team beat the Lakers, some people grew exasperated with you while you were trying to find your shooting eye and frankly they temporarily lost sight of the player you really are. It is with head hung low that I must tell you that I was one of those in-game critics. I lambasted you for missing 12 of your first 15 shot attempts. Heck, I even criticized the fact that you had attempted so many shots, more than even your majestic starting center and 3-time MVP teammate. When you missed yet another 3-point shot with 8:48 to go in the 3rd quarter, only to have the long rebound come right back to you where you didn't hesitate to launch a 14-footer that also missed, it was then that I sank to a new low and flatly stated that you were "not championship material."
And to be honest, that was hardly the first time I've said it, but after watching you mow down the Lakers with FOUR 3-pointers among your astonishing 4th quarter total of 23 points, last night will be the last time I say it. By now it is apparent to all of us here at Covers.com that you and your team are closing in on the franchise's first Finals appearance with likely a title to follow. We can all see it happening after last night. Even bobmaloogatimesfive can see it. Well, maybe he's not there yet. But the rest of us ARE.
Jamal, I want to apologize to you for Post #85 in my latest Covers thread in which I made a flippant remark about a "Bad Jamal night", and I also ask your forgiveness for Post #96 in which I wrote that you were "obnoxiously taking more shots than anyone else on a night he clearly sucks." Ouch. Your 4th quarter heroism showed me that I'm the one who clearly sucks.
Best wishes towards cashing my Nuggets +600 to win the West futures bet,

Your apology seemed heartfelt, sincere, and emotional. At the same time it remained factual, and all-encompassing, a feat that is often easier said than done.

what’s the plan today Mr. B? lakers first half and whole game? Press second half if they’re not up by too much?
No, none of that. I'm not betting on the Lakers today. I'm going to fade them if anything. For me it's just a matter of how attractive the lines will be. I have a feeling the lines will be very attractive close to game time and I'll be on the Nuggets in a serious way.

Well stated indeed - Lost a chunk on the Celtics ML parlays - F@ckers , didn’t see them losing 2 at home but the little voice in my head that said they might “ I ignored. Love the Lakers tonight , Denver is not a good road team and I expect Davis and James to have good games. Lakers by 12 I will have a large wager in tennis on Rune- he’s a machine and I will win in Rome . Good luck my friend

A man this clever and this articulate should not be wasting his life away gambling or writing satire for degenerates who can’t see past their last losing ticket.

This is true, but I wanted badly to avoid the real world and a real job and I just wanted to be my own boss and live every day exactly as I wanted, and I do thanks to gambling. What were the chances of that?
Now if you'll excuse me, I feel a nap coming on and fortunately I have the green light to nap whenever...the hell....I feel like it, lol.

Love the Lakers tonight , Denver is not a good road team
You've got to wonder if maybe the Denver Nuggets are getting really tired of hearing that. Remember also that they were 19-18 on the road before they junked their final four road games by resting starters excessively (in my opinion). Also, they are 2-3 on the road in the playoffs, but when you win all your home games, going 2-3 on the road is just fine, thank you very much.
