I will say this is the game (game 4) where Memphis pretty much won at LA, but Los Angeles got lucky with deangelo hitting those 3 threes. can talk about golden state and road being very underwhelming this year, but the lakers can not show up too. hmmm
You are 100% right about that game. That series was about to be all tied up if not for a miracle type ending.
The reason why Scott Foster was called in tonight, same as in game 7 against Sac, is to make sure the refs don’t let this game get out of hand by allowing tempers to get the best of players due to poor officiating. He is also there to make sure the game is called as evenly as possible so that the champs have no excuses if they lose or fail to tie things up. If both teams show up, this should be good game that goes down to the wire.

I love how Lonnie Walker lV wasn’t afraid of the big stage. He wanted to take those heroic shots. He scored almost as many points in the 4th as the Warriors.

Steph looked so defeated as he trudged off the court. For once he didn’t have enough magic to pull his mediocre teammates through in a big game. He seemed as surprised as he was tired.

I was feeling pessimistic about things even at 94-92. I’m genuinely surprised that the Lakers made enough plays to win this damn game. I’ve been foiled by the Warriors too many times. Good for the Lakers.
Who’s ready for Game 5? Oh, okay. Too soon.

Lonnie Walker and Austin Reeves out playing Klay and Poole who make a combined 78M a year is why the Warriors lost. That pos James always has a stacked team with the best roster.

@jepjep02 My script is better. Lakers win game 4 and goes up 3-1. Then gsw wins 5&6 and all the talk will be curry's revenge for losing 1-3 to lebron! Game 7 will be show us that the nba wants lebron to solidify his goat status...he cant be in goat convos if curry has more rings than him in the king's era. Free throws will rain

I rarely bet games this far in advance, but Im already on the Warriors -6 large for game 5. Did you hear Lebrons postgame comments? Basically said the Lakers would get blown out if they didnt bring the same intensity. There is no way they bring the same game against a team like the Warriors who are now tasked with winning 3 in a row. They get at least one on Wednesday.

He came out of nowhere and stole that game. He saved LBJ’s bacon, and Davis too. No way those guys would have the balls to hit all those shots. At best they hit 55% of Walker’s shots and the Warriors win by 5-6 points. That’s what happens when you mess around, don’t show up for games (game 6 against Sac and game 3 against LA), have bad habits (like turning the ball over) etc. Stuff like this can happen to you. On the other hand, if Klay and Pool each make one more basket, Warriors win the game.

Agreed. I liked Lakers tonight because they already stole one on the road - they had to play hard back to back games to make sure that they defend and take both Home games. The odds of them winning another road game is not good and they definitely don't want to end up in GS for Game 7.
Either Lakers win in 6 or they lose the series.
Expect AD and others to coast through the next game with low effort to save themselves for a Home Game 6 push (unless somehow all their shots are just going in and GS can't buy a bucket to save their lives).

As someone who has a series bet on the Lakers, I don't think it would be wise for the Lakers to go into Game 5 feeling comfortable in the knowledge that they have Game 6 at home in their back pocket if needed. As the Lakers learned tonight, another home win over the Warriors figures to be difficult, especially with the Warriors facing elimination. I think the Lakers should summon the energy (if they can) and go for the kill ASAP. They've got them on the ropes, so why let the Warriors "have" a game?

I don't think they can summon the energy. It might not even be there. If G6 happens, I can see Warriors road record becoming 3-4. If it wasn't for Lonnie it would be 3-3. That impresses me a bit. And how many more times will Lonnie take over? I think your Lakers future is in big jeopardy and coasting G5 may be the only way possible to win the series. They might know that. Save it for G6. Everyone is tired but James looks a little extra tired. How can they not let their guard down in G5? Very tough to accomplish in that situation with this team imo. Can't see them bringing their A game to The Oracle against the Champs that are down 3-1. What's the point is what I would be saying.:) I think I'll be with the huge majority(I assume) and say Warriors crush them G5. Only thing wrong with that and preventing me from unloading? I'll be with the huge majority.

As a seasoned gambler, and sharp, I’m surprised at your naïveté about this game. Neither team will have much of say in the outcome. ESPN/ABC need to get a game 6 (as the ratings are through the roof for this series) so I expect officials to play a big part in the outcome of this game with Lakers having to beat the Warriors and the zebras if they want to win.

And that. Warriors were 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in the regular season at home following 2 road losses. 1-0 in playoffs this year. Last year in playoffs Warriors were 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS playing at home following a road loss. At home in playoffs last year Warriors were 11-1 SU and 9-3 ATS.
