I'll keep it short because obviously, no one will tail any of these games on my merits so a long write-up is more hot air than it is beneficial to a reader.
This record will improve. Rough start to the season and I must get back on track ASAP.

PLAY #1 - Blazers @ Hornets Pick: Hornets +6
The Hornets have been awful of late. They can't score and have trouble defending, especially against good teams. No need to give you the averages on either side, it's bad.
But the Hornets have the old-fashioned angle we all know and love: revenge.
It's not original to use it to pick a side but it can be utilized effectively when necessary.
The Hornets have 4 wins. There's not much good there. But wins are wins and losses are losses. When you look at the top teams in the West, the Blazers are one of them.
The Hornets did not play their best game of the year in a win. They played it in a loss @ the Blazers on Nov 11th. On that night, they were cruising with a 23 pt lead and let it all slip away in the second half. Even as the Blazers took the lead in the fourth, the Hornets did not fold and it took several minutes before the refs waved off a Gary Neal layup at 0.0 that would have tied the score 102-100. Instead the Blazers let out a sigh of relief as they won by the thinnest of margins 102-100 as the they failed to cover as 7 pt favorites.
Now we get a 13 point swing coming home in a revenge spot. That's line value on the side of the Hornets folks.
CONS-
Yes the Blazers have won 8 in a row. Yes the Blazers are one of the best defensive teams in the league at the moment and during this stretch Yes the Hornets are on a 6 game losing streak Yes the Hornets are on a 4th game in 6 nights
Does that merit a THIRTEEN pt adjustment since November 11? You could argue it.
But revenge, the way the hornets stepped up in a loss last game, the way that loss occurred in a waved off basket, the fact that the Hornets will at a minimum try to go into the holiday with a victory to snap their losing streak, the fact that the Blazers will still lead their division by 4 games and be 1 game out of the number 1 seed even if they lose, has to swing points in my favor resulting a a line with value.
Hornets have also had some recent heartbreakers to get into the win column with close losses to pacers 2, heat 1 (in a game where they missed 3 game winners in 10 seconds, and the magic 5) shows they are playing closer games inside this spread (albeit against bad teams) but still this is a big number at home in revenge spot.
Play the +6 and sprinkle the ML as well as I think they will come out fighting to take this one down.
Play #2 - Tease Cavs to -2 over Wizards and the Hornets up to 11 (5 pt tease)
Teases are very hard to do in the NBA but there are rare spots where you can tease effectively.
Hornets tease balloons that spread to a number even the Sixers aren't getting at home against the Nets tonight (8) and can only mean the Blazers blow them out (unlikely).
Cavs? 2 is as close as we can get to an ML and the Cavs sit 1 game under .500 right before the holiday. LBJ will basically order his guys to win this in a revenge spot from an awful performance in Washington just last week. Cavs Wiz is always a rivalry, at home for the Cavs, a .500 record on the line and the Cavs just for a confidence building blowout over her Magic last game. Also Nene is out and any Wizard fan can tell you the Wiz function much better with him on the court, regardless of what his box score shows.
Good spot and I don't like laying the full number to the Wiz although that is the only side is be on if without a tease.

That is unacceptable.

GL scal...I sold my tickets for tonight, so I hope you are right about the bugs....I agree that the revenge factor vs a team they should have beaten is a great angle.
No teasers in hoops though, especially NBA Come on bro, you're better than that!
GL and happy thanksgiving scal

Let me say something about teasers to the guys defaming them:
In the NFL and CFB, you can find VERY strong spots EVERY WEEK.
Whether you believe that or not is up to you but the Giants +11.5 over the Cowboys, as stated specifically in my thread was FREE MONEY.
The Cowboys simply don't blow out the Giants in that rivalry and at home it definitely will not happen.
As far as the NBA, I still like the Cavs side tonight. But that is a homer pick and to lay 7 with a 6-7 team vs a 9-4 team is square. Who needs me to come on this board and say "take the Cavs"? You can do that yourself.
But to get the Cavs at a ML in a mini-revenge game, where the other team is missing the guy that makes it all click in Nene, where you know Lebron doesn't want to have to watch Cavs 'implosion' vignettes about a 6-8 team over his buttered crescent rolls and green bean casserole?
Wow, that is a rock solid spot.
Couple that with the previous cap of the Hornets where you need a blowout to lose (not gonna happen) and you have a really solid tease that pays Exactly the same as a side at -4.5?
Wow. Great spot.
Evolve as a capper when teases show themselves to be legitimate!

sorry man i but you are on the wrong track on both games. The hornets are really bad. They cant get stops & they got no go-to guy. The only way this covers is if the blazers go on vacation in the first half. Better off taking a 1st half play.
& the cavs are worse on the floor than on paper. Your revenge angle is all in your head. these guys are just collecting paychecks a night before thanksgiving. The cavs are bad enough & the wizards are good enough that even the -2 is at risk.
good luck though. all i suggest is to bet light until you come up with better stuff than this.
