What was the purpose of this foul?It just destroyed anyone that had Pelicans &#x2B;8.5 or &#x2B;9.5.Did Ian Clark think that Golden State would miss 8 straight free throws and the Pelicans would hit three 3&#x27;s to win the game, all within 17 seconds?Nobody fouls down 8 on the last play. 6 - 8 is the maximum.  When the fk do players take foul to force a 10 point loss?

Didn&#x27;t see it. Did the Pelicans at least take a final shot after the FT&#x27;s or did they just dribble it out? That&#x27;s the absolute worst when that happens because then the foul REALLY doesn&#x27;t make any sense.

They did take one more 3 point shot and missed.They had already fouled before the clark foul and GS hit both free throws, then Pelicans scored at 19 seconds.  So within the final shot clock with 17 seconds left.  9 times out of 10 it&#x27;s the dribble out.  On this occasion an idiot fouls in a useless situation.

&#xA;17 seconds is an eternity in these situations. I&#x27;ve seen crazy numbers put up in like 17 seconds to blow unders, especially in college. This isn&#x27;t even a bad beat. Teams will always do this, even in out of hand games, to practice situational basketball.

Knicks were &#x2B;6 all morning and then moved to &#x2B;6.5 everywhere by the afternoon and early evening. Bovada even moved them to &#x2B;7 about an hour before tip.

I don&#x27;t see why anyone would complain about this if you look at it from a sporting point of view and not a gambling one.I&#x27;ve seen many final seconds plays where the 3 ball is taken and a foul is drawn. Anthony Davis draws contact from beyond the arc sometimes. It&#x27;s never a sure thing players walking up to the free throw line. 8 points is literally nothing in today&#x27;s game. Everyone is so good at hitting the 3 ball compared to 5 years ago.

The best thing to do is to let it go.  In the NBA, the team that&#x2019;s mean to cover will cover.  If you are frustrated over this then it will be a long season.  Your best bet is to look forward.
