The lousy Sixers against a beast team that just lost last night to one of their huge rival? West ain't gonna shoot that bad again. Only 4.5 points given? If this is a trap, well, i'm falling for it.

You guys are all funny. It's like you know how to set a line better than all of Vegas and offshore books collectively. Funny you guys. What should the line be? Indiana -7 on the road?

Yeah man it should be closer to that. Indiana has dominated Philly before and will bounce back after a bad loss in which they should've held on against a Kobe-less team. The defense will lock down after letting up yesterday and they face a 76ers team that struggles to say the least on offense.
Sometimes lines are enticing, I'm all aboard as well guys with IND -4.5, Streak play of the day and threw $110 down.

I'm big on Indy. Line is not at its correct place IMO, even though the sixers had 2 days rest and Indy is on b2b.
This time of the season, teams like Indy comes out playing very hard every night, poor Philly has got nothing to offer. Indy couldn't score like they usually do yesterday and i can't see a repeat of this scenario. If I lose, that means that Indy MUST take the next game ATS. I believe in that team.
And...Oh god have you seen the Sixers!? Line should have been 6.5 IMO.

So you're saying if the line was Indiana -7 you'd still take this play?
If that's the case, I'll take your bet.
Chances are Pacers will win this game but as much as Philly is struggling, the Pacers aren't exactly what you call road warriors (sub .500 on the road).

Jesus Christ, stop it.
If you're willing to lay 6.5 points tonight ill take your bet too.
Listen to some of your reasoning for liking the Pacers:
"This time of the season, teams like Indy comes out playing very hard every night, poor Philly has got nothing to offer."
What does this even mean and how does that translate to ATS covers? If your assertion was right, they should have demolished a Kobe-less Lakers team yesterday and easily cover the -9.
"If I lose, that means that Indy MUST take the next game ATS. I believe in that team."
Why MUST they take the next game ATS? Are you implying they care about ATS? So now the Pacers team also gamble on their own games? Do you even know who they're playing next (Cleveland, on the road)? Teams care about winning. Period.
You're the same funny guy who went into someone's thread a few weeks ago titled, "Most Hilarious Line...", where that guy was so sure GS as -1 faves would also destroy 76ers and that the line was a gift and you jumped all over that line too.
How'd that work out for you? Don't worry, it wasn't just you. 90% of bettors also thought that was a "gift" line.
Will the Pacers win tonight? Probably. Will they cover the ATS? Possibly. And if they do, just chalk it up as a victory, say thank you and move on. But don't think it's because Vegas gifted the line to you.
That's just silly.

First of all, I'll be happy to see my funny post as I don't remember taking the GSW big against Philly. Not in my records. But then on the other hand, I "jumped" to another one's thread when GSW will cover against Phoenix. Won. Funny? Still? Do you keep record of what I bet? "Funny guy"... ok...
Now, if you opened your head a bit, you would see that Pacers are pretty damn good ATS (36-28 to be precise) but i guess i haven't checked that just like you assume i haven't checked their next game.
Where did you hear me saying that teams care about covering the spread? Where in hell did you get all your "facts" in your SILLY post?
4 points, as you know (hopefully), aren't that much in NBA game. Example: super tight game yesterday with Denver, but MEM still lost by 7. If Philly can make it tight, they'll still fall in the last minutes against a better team. I just see Indy crashing them. And yes - Even at 8 points spread i'd still take it. Did you see what I wrote? I BELIEVE IN THAT TEAM.

Dealhunter I would still take the line @ -7, which is why for me, -4.5 is a treat given how strongly I am leaning Indiana. The 76ers season is pretty much over at this point, and more often than not they seem to struggle to score points. That doesn't translate well against a defensive-minded team that is not happy about giving away a game last night at home.
Also helps that Indiana is sitting in the 2 seed and still has some work to do in order to fight off a few teams below them, giving them plenty of incentive to keep winning. If they were in Miami's position - 9 game lead over the next team - I'd fear a possible coasting phase.
Lastly, I refuse to have LOCK and EASY MONEY in my vocabulary with regards to sports gambling, because as much as I feel confident with what I'm doing as a sports bettor, there's no such thing as a LOCK or EASY MONEY until the game is over. That goes for anyone. But currently up $625 on the basketball season, so I'll keep going with what got me here.

I think exercising common sense, considering where two teams are heading as they face off, and the line offered all into account is all that is really needed. I'm not one to get too fixated on trends that date back to previous seasons (obviously the ones that merit recogntion i.e. amazing home team/terrible home team).
Just use your head, and you'll get a shot to knock the house down
