Perhaps you haven't yet seen my post from earlier this morning in which I documented the Magic staying under the total in every Friday road game they've played this season (0-8 O/U by an average of 10.3 points per game).
No sir, I didn't see it and I appreciate your response. If this drops any more I may go small on the over.

I know the books hate to pay Lakers money, there is always a added tax of some sort being either the PL or ML, same as you get with the Yankees, Red Sox, Pats, USC, and the likes, It does seem rather easy to take lay the five looking at past match-up history, also every one who won with nuggets last night laying that 4.5 to 5 will have the mental thought and bite on the lakers because it's so fresh in every-one's mind. Tough game as Jazz seem to fall apart at staples for whatever reason.
I've been a victim of a few of those.

IMO nothing changes...why after 12 straight losses would it? My take is people are down on LAL with their recent struggles and are jumping off the band wagon. I believe there are less people than you think that will believe they are out for blood because these same people thought that before they faced Atlanta after losing to NO. I wrote the following in my thread:
The situation in this game reminds me so much of last nights game between Portland/Denver. Portland was the hot team winning 9 of their last 10 going on the road against a reeling Denver team coming home after a long road trip in which they went 1-4 SU. Now we have a hot Utah team winning 8 of their last 10 going on the road against an LAL team that is finally coming home after a long road trip in which they went 2-3 SU and losers of 3 of their last 4. The line is even almost identical. My money is on the Lakers LARGE as I believe they win this by DD.

I'm leaning more & more towards the ML. I'm still showing -200, and it's not budging. Hoping the price goes up a little bit later, but I think I may be taking some +170 with the points.

going into last nights game PORTLAND lost 12 of last 13 games
in DENVER... they dominate them at HOME...
I did NOT know that! Strange how no one mentioned that yesterday here on Covers. Or did someone?
A key difference between the Lakers' 13 straight home wins over Utah and Denver's 12 out of 13 at home over Portland is that the Lakers and Jazz played each other in each of the last two playoffs, therefore these 13 games are clustered fairly close together. In the time that L.A. has gone 13-0 at home against Utah, Denver has gone 7-1 at home against Portland. Nevertheless, I stand corrected.

That Adam Morrisson comment is comical! Who the hell is going to take Adam Morrisson? This guy really should be in the D-league or overseas! He's terrible!!! Trust me, No team is going to trade for Adam Morrisson. He's a complete bust!!!!
rickydee, read the article again. The article didn't say "Adam Morrison." It said "Adam Morrison's expiring contract."

Jumping off the Lakers' bandwagon has been a good idea since Opening Night back in October. There hasn't been any reason to be on the Lakers' bandwagon. Following their championship victory, they were a lock to be hugely overpriced this season, even moreso than the last couple seasons. Add in their nonchalance towards the 82-game schedule, and the Lakers make it tough to find spots with genuine value upon which to back them.

I know, but the hardcore squares who thought the Lakers wouldn't lose two in a row are likely chasing tonight. The enlightened bettors who read this thread closely will not be so eager to lay it with the Lakers.

Big difference, though. The Blazers fell victim to a terrible scheduling spot, a spot that trips up nearly every NBA team (return home from a road trip, one day of rest, home game, road game the next day). Plus, Portland had boarded a plane following 17 of their previous 18 games prior to last night. Brutal!
No such obstacles tonight for the rested Jazz who spent the week scrimmaging in Salt Lake City against the Knicks and Warriors. And if you think that scheduling spot thing is fluff, let me know when you find an NBA team that's survived it this season.

Oh, in addition to the fact that the Blazers had to play last night with no rest, the Nuggets got two days at home to clear their heads after losing in Dallas. The Lakers had only one day to try and do the same after losing in Atlanta.
