LA Lakers vs LA Clippers UNDER 224.5 ($110 to win $100)
Without Paul George in the lineup for the Clippers to start the season I think they will struggle offensively more than defensively. A bunch of new faces and systems to learn and how much do they really want to show off without one of their offseason prizes? Lakers also have a bunch of injuries/new faces/questions. Both teams will be there in the end, but I'm not expecting a fireworks show in this opener.

Without Paul George in the lineup for the Clippers to start the season I think they will struggle offensively more than defensively. A bunch of new faces and systems to learn and how much do they really want to show off without one of their offseason prizes? Lakers also have a bunch of injuries/new faces/questions. Both teams will be there in the end, but I'm not expecting a fireworks show in this opener.
I agree regarding the Clippers, but the Lakers offense is a lot simpler. It all goes through LBJ and this is his second year in that system. Clippers will also go through Leonard, but there is a learning curve there that the Lakers won't have to deal with (at least as much).

Lakers do have LBJ obviously but beyond Rondo, Kuzma, and KCP the Lakers don't return much. They will have to figure out the rotations of Cook, Green, Bradley, McGee, Howard, and of course AD. Last year the biggest questions were with their defense which I think they addressed...I see them starting off a bit lower scoring. Could be wrong though!

Agreed it goes thru LeBron but not second year system, Walton got canned, new coach with quite a few new assistants as well, as cm mentioned a little learning curve regarding rotations etc.., I do think the coaching staff will lean on the given in AD and LeBron, which those 2 are playing off each other very well already. I don't mind the under, might nibble a little, just not sure on lakers D and pace too keep that under, preseason their pace was fast and gave up quite a few 3 point baskets, which the clippers do like to shoot. With George out AD down low and LeBron looking to probably make a statement with this game in particular I'll be on lakers -3.

I think AD and LBJ was two players that played a ton for their teams. both are always conditioned to play most of the game. Both playing a lot would be a huge mismatch for most teams. I think Lakers come to claim back LA tonight. Seeing a Lakers blowout. Once George is ready to play, much different story. Tonight it will be all about how they will need George to do this and that, blah blah blah. Just my opinion though.
