OVERALL RECORD:  3-0   (+$300)

Obviously a good start to the season as I nailed the Magic 1st Quarter score right on the nose...I nailed the Spurs/Mavericks game total and I called an easy double digit win for the Rockets as well.  Now on to tonight where the bulk of games start up.  No need to get greedy this early on in the season!

LA/PHX Over

I have a hard time believing that they get to this number. I had the same problem with last nights game. Who is going to score for the lakers when Kobe goes to the bench. There were so many possessions last night where they looked lost when kobe took a brek between 1st and 2nd qtr. Even Kobe looked rusty last night. Rockets are not a great defense team (although they will be better this year) and lakers struggle to score. Phoenix will score but will lakers score enough to get it over 207. I don't know. What is leading you to lean that way.

I agree that the Rockets are not necessarily a good defensive team, but they do have inside presence with Howard and Jones that were able to block shots and bother shots from Lin/Kobe and others.

Nobody on Phoenix has that impact.

Philadelphia Sixers vs Indiana Pacers UNDER 189.5  ($110 to win $100)

Like this play even if Carter-Williams is able to go for the Sixers.  They already have a limited offense...and he is their best player.  Pacers have been known for their lack of offense, and they will be without their top 3 offensive players from last year...Stephenson is gone, George is hurt, and Hill is out for a while.  Even David West is going to be missing this game.  I just can't see how either of these teams gets into the mid-90's

Miami Heat -3  ($120 to win $100)

Borrowed a half point down just in case something crazy happens...but I doubt it.  I said in the preseason write up that I would be in favor of fading the Washington Wizards for the first part of the season, at least until Bradley Beal comes back.  I also said that the Heat are a lively play at home against the East.  Heat have veteran guys that know how to get the job done...while the Wizards will be without a solid portion of their lineup...no Nene, Beal, Webster, Humphries, and Blair.  I see the Heat taking this one down fairly easily.

Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings OVER 205  ($110 to win $100)

The Kings don't play defense...and the Warriors are very solid offensively.  I like the David Lee injury for this bet because that means the Warriors are going to have to go more with Green or Speights or go really small ball with Iggy at the 4.  That means more fast breaking and more up tempo type of plays.

Prediction:  Warriors 112  Kings 101
