Sorry for the multiple postings. Lebron james won 2-5 rings, if it wasnt for a couple of spurs not getting it done at crunch time at the line, and ray allen, the count would be at 1-5. Also, lebron had home court most advantage in the east, as in the west, its tough to even make the playoffs with a .500 and above record. When miami lost to dallas, that dallas team had to go thru hell just to get to the finals. They played portland which were no scrubs, the defending champs in the 2nd, and finally KD n company in the wcf.
why are you writing this????...it happened, wat the fu.k is the relevance in pointing out "IF" it didnt happen???....if this if that ...if...if...if...idiotic.
not only are ya tryna marginalise and belittle wat lebron has done, youre actually tryna TAKE AWAY championships from him...jeez,doesnt sound like you have a bias does it??
hudreds of things both lucky and unlucky happen in a series and in a post season....can you not see how moronic it is to single out one event and attribute the total outcome to that??

good grief, its like they all think the west play sum super duper, incredible, unrtouchable brand of basketball or sumthing...theyre playing the same sport,people!!...not as if lebron will be mystified, amazed and beffuddled at the way they dribble the feckin ball and the speed they run at or anything...get a grip.
his career numbers versus the west are BETTER than versus the east.go and check it out.
yea,of course it wud be bigger obstacles,he wud have to win 2 or 3 tough series but hes a great, great player....he is more than capable if put in that position....tim duncan, parker and kobe/shaq did it multiple times.....are they really any greater than lebron??

so just because 1 west team lost to miami, that means the other ones would of have to? thats quite a statement. There were a bunch of good to great west teams that year, including the spurs. Lets not presume that just because miami won 1 round vs the west, that they would of won every round in the west.
I'm saying LeBron has always had trouble with the Spurs. Miami played OKC and the Clips very well over the 4 years goin 13-7 and these 3 teams were pretty clear standouts as the top 3 in the West for that period. I don't think a Houston team with only Harden, Portland team with no bench, Memphis team that never seemed to win a series (except when RW went out), or a young inexperienced Golden State team would have been much of a threat to a team with 3 vets like Lebron, Wade, and Bosh.

THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^....it boggles the mind to think that this never occurs to anyone on this site, all they do is complain about how weak his competition in the east is and how he wud struggle to win in the west....well,the reason the west is strong is cos theres a lot of good players spread over a lot of good teams...so,ya know,it kind of stands to reason that lebron wud then be on a very good team with very good players around him.its all relative.and players all wanna play with the guy so he cud have had an even more "super-duper" cast of team-mates than in miami possibly...imagine the dude on the thunder or spurs(not that he wud really fit on that squad) the past 6 years, are you kidding me??dude wud fu.king crush!!!
also, the guy has BEATEN the best in the west to win his championships so,if placed in the western conference wat on earth makes you think that he cudnt beat the best in the west just to get to the finals and then go on 2 beat sum powder-puff east lightweight??.........makes no sense watsoever....hes already shown he can do it.
oh,and his career numbers are actually BETTER versus west,i already posted them all in another thread.

The Clips beat the Spurs this year (basically the exact championship team from last year) but then lost to houston who lost to GS so what does that tell you? It supports my previous argument. Its extremely tough to go through the west teams. Just because you (Miami) beat an OKC in the finals doesnt mean they would of gone through the gauntlet of the west. There are tons of great teams in the west and Clips beating spurs proves that. Spurs would of beaten every team in the east this season. Lets be honest here.
come on man...you know your basketball so im sure you realise that a huge factor in that spurs loss was the big letdown effect this season after the emotional roller coaster/odyssey and ultimate joy and satisfaction of the past 2 years....it was always gonna be incredibly hard to get back up again to scale the mountain...i dont think it shows how great and competitive the west is at all, just that spurs didnt have the burning desire/eye of the tiger....and even still, they only came up one bucket short on the road versus clippers who showed incredible heart and tenacity.....spurs still have the best roster,(altho warriors are a new breed tryna step up),just not the most motivation....and they are a level above most other teams in the west....dont be fooled by the effect of recency bias.

lebron isnt an idiot, he knows playing in the east he has an easier path to getting a ring. There is a thing called cap room, you cant just throw it out there that well if he played in the west he would have a much better team around him, we dont know that. Clips are cash strapped right now. what teams could afford lbj? again, look at some of the stacked teams in the west, would he even get to the finals if he played in the west? kd and westy only made the finals once, there are just so many powerful teams.
hold up.....but look wats happened the past 5 or more years(actually, even going back to cleveland days),players are DYING to play with lebron so will take the necessary paycuts to accomodate that happening...dudes falling over themselves to get on his squad cos he a great player that is highly unselfish on court......he got ray allen, dwyane wade and chris bosh plus an okay group of role players on the same team which NOBODY thought possible at the time....wat the heck makes you think he cudnt have wrangled a hypothetical situation with a team that includes westbrook, durant, harden and ibaka??....of course on the spurs it is EVERYONE who takes a paycut so not sure if that wud fly with lebron.

you dont think spurs playing the clips in 1st round doesnt show how great the west is? come on man, there is no way possible that you can argue that... spurs were a 6th seed in the west winning 55 games this year, not that much of a letdown. and only atlanta won more games in the east i believe. these are facts.

of course the spurs getting back through the western conference would of been hard, i never argued that, if anything i supported that with my other post. The west gauntlet is very hard to get through. There are great teams from 1-8, Pelis as the 8th seed won a ton of games this year and have a top 5 player in the league. These are facts. Celtics, nets, bucks wouldnt of made the playoffs just based on record in the west. Two of those teams arent even .500. The East is a joke. There is no way around it.

im not denying the fact people want to play with LBJ BUT he joined the east for a reason. He is a businessman, he is a smart one to boot, he joined the place with the best chance to win titles, forming a trio of his buds which all took paycuts for those couple years in the weaker east. He had to convince guys in his prime to do it, Wade was already in Miami and they are all friends. Thats a rare thing, and it was only going to happen for those couple of years because eventually BOsh and LBJ rightfully wanted to start getting what they feel they deserve in max money. He is all about the titles and thats not a bad thing. He wants to go down as one of the greatest or the greatest of all time.

great??...overall im not so sure..judging by all the talk in here you'd think the 15 best teams in the league all reside in the feckin west...waaaay over-rated and over-inflated...YES they are clearly better and deeper than the east, anyone can see that....but still, wen it comes down to it there are only 2 or 3 truly legitimate heavyweight title contendors in that western conference and in terms of playoff style basketball they are ahead of the rest of the west by a reasonable margin.too much emphasis is placed on regular season performance,a lot of it becomes irrelevant in post season, blazers, mavericks, pelicans aint scaring anyone and houston are a joke too, they just lucked out huge in that the clippers inexplicably imploded........and the representative from the east will always still have a puncher's chance at taking out the finals no matter how many idiots we got here raving and spouting rubbish(mainly to discredit lebron achievements of course).

yep, again i wud never argue that the depth in the east is apalling.no doubt there are more good teams in the west, only a lunatic wud suggest otherwise...but where i take issue with folks around here is that the west are sum invincible, super duper competition that the top teams in the east find it impossible to compete with...thats patently untrue, particularly wen playoff style basketball is factored into the equation.many of the top 8 in the west fall away as frauds and pretenders once the real season rolls around and they have as much chance of beating the cavs as the celtics/bucks do.
no way the mavs/pelicans/blazers beat cleveland in a 7 game series after wat we're seeing from them thus far.
