Got greedy and also took the under in the game along with nets.  Gonna lose juice now if under don't hit.

Of course. I wanted them buried. I would have preferred they lost by 50. They will get to 2-2 and it's just not the way I wanted it (2-1 Wiz first and then the Pacers win to get to 2-2). Tomorrow is quite crucial because if this gets to 7, and tomorrow's game with heighten that chance and I will be unloading on the wiz on the pacers floor if it gets there.

I did take Brooklyn. Great post and win!

I will be rooting for them to tie it up and make a Series of this.

Thanks Scal, I'm glad you took the Nets. I'll root for them to tie but won't be betting the next game. Although, I am thinking of betting the Wiz tomorrow. What do you think of that line -4.5?

I also have an angle on the Clipper's game and you're just the man to discuss it with. I think the start time really favors the Clippers here. They've had 2 playoff games now that started around this time. They lost both to the Warriors but both losses involved mitigating circumstances. First game, Griffin picks up 3 fouls and sits most of the 1st half (Paul also got in foul trouble in that game) and the Clips barely lose. Then game 4, we all know what happened. The Clips were in no shape to play and/or they tanked. 

Meanwhile the Thunder have yet to play an early start game this entire playoffs. I also recall the Thunder being a poor early start team (although I need to look more into that). Anyway, these are my initial thoughts. I know you had an entire theory about the Knicks and their early start times so feel free to chime in with your thoughts. I think the fact that the Clippers have experienced this twice in the last couple of weeks will give them a real edge here (this in addition to the edge they already have in needing to win this game).

BB Thunder plays well on early start times..... Look up their regular season Sunday afternoon games. They play pretty well If I recall. Clippers play well in the day games as well. WE both know who will be in desperation mode. This series goes 3-1 its over. Everyone knows that. 

"other forces" should help the Clipps ensure a win here to make things "interesting" right? 

Scal looking forward to a write on Wizkids game 4 if you're gonna do it.

No so fast, Cam. When you're talking about covering a spread of 5 you wanna make sure you got every angle covered. If I was going ML I wouldn't worry. Turns out the Thunder are not as good as the Clips during the early starts (but I might have to go back another year). Here is what I found.

Thunder
@Knicks W (Knicks are the worst early start team)

Pacers L (Pacers were 15-1, hottest team in the NBA)

Overall the Clippers have more experience playing these early start games and have had more success (even with the small sample size). I simply can't count those two losses to the Warriors as there were too many outside influences (including officiating in game 1). A capper needs every edge he can get and I think this is a real edge. The Clips will be ready right off the bat tomorrow!

I think we got our confirmation, Bob. My man Mott is on the job and the rest of the zebras don't look bad either. But the Wiz game, my god, did the NBA send in the cavalry to help keep the game close or help the Pacers win?

BB I'm not trying to make a case for OKC..... just saying they play well in day games. This game falls into their usual home sunday day slot.....

Unfortunately (fortunately for us) it falls into the clipps regular time slot too..... and they happen to be at home. The right side is the Clipps.... looking at the same angles as you.

Forgot to include OKC beating Utah at home during an early start. But are we really gonna count that?

I think you are right on both. Obviously, I favor the Wiz to get it to 2-2 (as I thought that would be the spot they would be in after 4 all along, 3-1 being quite a strech on the road to start two series and they jump out by winning 3 of 4 in both) and a line of 4.5 is inconsequential in this spot. Not as an excuse but Wall had a scratched eye (he now says it is better) and could barely see the entire entire second half (according to him). That of course, doesn't write off how poorly the rest of the team shot. But, I've literally seen the Knicks shoot poorly well over a hundred times throughout the years and some of their best performances come in the bounceback game. A playoff bounceback game is especially significant.

I also like the Clips laying the points. The Thunder had to hit a significant amount of clutch shots down the stretch and they nailed every single one. Clips played a much better game than people realize. I haven't had time to research the early start time but it is an interesting angle (although if you look it up, I guarantee there is no team in the league that is even close to the Knicks and their inability to perform in this area).

Not gonna have one today. Just letting the series play out but I'd be especially surprised if the Wizards didn't make a statement here after they were shi* on at home last game.

This is a bit of weird angle but I also like the fact the Pacers are sequestered away from their families while in DC. 

Mother's Day is a special day especially to players who may have had little growing up (as Durant recently showed in tribute) as is the story with a significant portion of NBAer's, hence leaning on their mother's for the ultimate stability.

Meanwhile, this is a night game and all the Wiz players, or at least the majority of them get to spend the day with their families and mothers which will serve a bit of a cathartic relief after getting their brains beaten in last game. 

The family time obviously rises above all in terms of importance and 'what matters.' The Wiz will get it today while the Pacers will be making terse phone calls from across the country.

Then with the 8pm start time (good because early start times always throw a wrench into things), the Wiz can come in and feel refreshed and do the job they are supposed to do in Game 4 and tie this series up.

You don't cap a full game this way but on Mother's Day, it's a bit of wrinkle that favors the Wiz in my opinion.

Well if they want this one to go 7 (game 7's are enormously profitable for the league), their leans and close calls should be on an obvious DC side here. 3-1 isn't an option for 7 games as even the Blazers proved last series. There is just way too much the team trailing has to do to get to the final game so I'm not all that worried about them today. If Wiz can find that game 1 magic where they stifled the Pacers the entire way (coming out and having Ariza hit 2 threes to go up 6-0 again would be a start), we should be fine. If they trail at the half by >=3 in a spot like this, we have a problem.
