What do the spurs have to offer? It's going to take a lot to get kyrie. Kawhi not going anywhere. I doubt the cavs would want Aldridge when they already have love as the pick and pop big. And they don't have much in the way of young players. Plus their first round pick always are low
Don't see the assets to make it happen

Spurs, Knicks, t wolves, and heat listed as preferred destinations.
Knicks could over up a interesting package. Porzingis for kyrie who says no?
If I'm the Knicks I offer a deal around Carmelo and ntilikina..... just Carmelo won't be enough and the next best asset other than porzingis they have is ntilika. Plus he plays same position as kyrie.

Id offer Carmelo ntilikina and a 1st round pick for kyrie and salary dump

Then the Knicks have a nasty 1-2 combo to build around. Kyrie and porzingod that's big time offensive ability right there

T-Wolves would have to part with either KAT or Wiggins to get Irving which I can't see happening

If he wants to win Spurs the only destination

Good for him.   Gotta be exhausting playing with the biggest diva in the history of sports who holds the franchise hostage every offseason.  Cavs fans cannot say ONE SINGLE NEGATIVE WORD about this because they and Dan Gilbert sold their souls for a title by taking Lebron back.   Lebron says he's 'blindsided' by this....   Oh, poor baby!   Once again proving he has zero self-awareness to any of his actions.

I guess NO ONE wants to play with the CRYING QUEEN NOW. That LOSER QUEEN will be leaving next year anyway so why waist for another year with the fool. Kyrie makes a wise decision and good luck Kyrie. This is the price you have to pay for bringing back the LOSER QUEEN. One championship and now you lose the young franchised player. Cleveland will be a GARBAGE TEAM next year.

Guess he is tired of having a chance to win.  Spurs have nothing they would trade that cavs want, same as Knicks and Twolves, that only leaves Heat.  Also what leverage does he have to demand trade?

Without Kyrie the team is done, unless they find major players in return

Guy is probably itching for something new.  Team was on the brink of falling apart last season and they got rid of their GM without a replacement that spells dysfunctional doesn't it

I'm guessing he'll probably stay with the Cavs.  Just can't imagine Armageddon on King LeBron's team

That said even if he does stay will this carry over into the season?

The Spurs comment was a joke as it seems like the western powers have been engaging in what i've bern calling a cold war-esque arms race. Sam had brought up some interesting knick trades.

What do the Heat have to offer?

You have to assume a PG would be traded the other way, so one of Dragic or Tyler Johnson would have to be included.

Then maybe a young player like a Justice Winslow and/or Bam Adebayo.

Is any of that enough?  Maybe but its not a great package for a player of Kyrie's capabilities.

Winslow is off a serious injury and a season in which he shot 35% from the field in starters minutes.  

Bam had a real good summer league and looks like he could be a steal in the draft.  He'd be a nice pick up.

A deal revolving a PG (Dragic or Johnson) + Winslow + Bam + maybe a 1st round pick for Kyrie?  I guess that could work.  

But i think the Knicks can offer up the most intriguing package.

NBA Trade Machine won't eve let you include 2017 rookies in any deal.  So this becomes even more difficult.

Dragic makes almost the same money as Kyrie (i know, crazy)

So it would have to be Dragic included in the deal.

Dragic + Winslow + multiple 1st rounds picks is about the best deal the Heat can offer for Kyrie, that works against the cap.

If the Knicks can't include Ntilikina, then they have to include Hernangomez

Cleveland would have to include someone like a Shumpert in the deal to make the money work with Carmelo.

A deal that works against the cap is:
Carmelo + Hernangomez + Multiple 1st round picks for Kyrie + Shumpert is the best deal the Knicks can offer without including Porzingis that works against the cap.

Rumor has it that the Knicks will not include Porzingis in any deal.  But they might have to to get Kyrie.  Would Carmelo + Hernangomez be enough?  Probably not.

Cleveland up against it with this trade demand.  Will be interesting to see how they handle this ugly situation.

But, if you didn't like playing with him, why not wait a year, and see if he moves on?

If he moves on, you can stay and make it "your" team. If he moves on, you can say "nothing left for me to stay, either" and nobody cares if he goes. He leaves now, it smacks of "me-ism", and gives LeBron the perfect out. He'll go "I lost my brother"-type crap, and nobody can call him self-centered or a drama queen, even if he is.........

I think had the Cavs made any significant moves this offseason instead of the bumbling that has gone on he may have played it out, but at this point it looks like he probably sees this as a sinking ship and he may as well grab his life boat first.

Why couldn't the T-Wolves trade Wiggins, Teague and a number one, or two number ones for Irving?

If I'm the T-Wolves I am making it happen.  Irving top 5 clutch player and one-on-one player in the league.

Puts Timberwolves in the top 6 teams in the league.

I'm not sold on Wiggins, he's not a gamer and he is a terrible free throw shooter in crunch time....he looks great when he decides to play, but if you can't play hard all the time for Thibideau who are you going to play hard for?  He falls asleep too much for my liking.

Minny can't trade Teague until 12/15 as he just signed as a free agent. Wiggins for Irving is not a fair deal.

i don't think when they trade him it will be to any of those teams.  He has zero leverage to say I want to go to these 4 teams.  He will regret this choice 3-4 years down the road.

If I was the cavs, I wouldn't do anything this year or immediately.

I would leave Kyrie Irving on the vine and not trade him right away.

I wouldn't leave him on the vine "to die" like the knicks are doing Carmelo and not acquessing to his demands to be out.

I would trade Kyrie either during the draft or during the next off-season but only when the right deal comes along and it's a win for the Cavs

Other than that --- I would show him his contract and say get your "A" out there and play!!! 


Is it me, but does this Kyrie Irving request remind you of the famous Pat Riley saying about what tears up good title ot title contender teams   ----  he called it "THE DISEASE OF ME"

To me, Kyrie Irving has the classic "disease of me."
