Wow, it's even more laughable than first suspected.  Out of 19 Laker wins this season, 17 of them have come against teams currently sporting sub .500 records.

Not advocating a play on the LAL -5.5 by any means as I think Sixers have a good shot at covering (not winning), however how is it the Lakers fault they got an easy schedule to start?

his point was that a previous poster was commenting on how weak the Sixers schedule was. So he had to show that the Lakers haven't been exactly playing the top teams.

some people didn't have a choice since some of their local bookies don't release the lines until 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

I believe Bator is one Philly +5.5 and Miami -5

that's just my guess

this does look like a winner for the bookies- public will pound lakers and philly wins outright or at least covers.  Phil and Kobe probably got their orders from vegas to lay down earlier today.

I don't think the Lakers are the team that has to prove whether or not they can contend with top ranked teams.

They did, last Friday night, but since then the Bulls have lost Joakim Noah until February while the Lakers have begun to work Andrew Bynum into the mix, so he Bulls are no longer the better team.  But just a few days ago, they were, even though you couldn't see it.

sure thing bud, 2 time defending champs not up to par with the same chicago team they beat a few weeks back at staples??



Bulls will be lucky to make it past the 1st round....meanwhile LA will be curb stomping teams back to the finals for the 4th time in 4 years...believe that

Why? I love covers and attitude people like to give out. Why fucking post an opinion if you don't want comments on it?

We both know that wasn't your only point, you were using it as a reason to support a play on the Sixers. Saying you weren't would be ludicrous. Lakers don't make their schedule and can you blame them for not getting excited to play half those shit teams? Look for them to get in form before an Xmas day showdown ( and BEATDOWN) of Miami...

And you also missed my point.  I wasn't criticizing the Lakers for the schedule the NBA assigned to them.  I was merely pointing out to the creator of this thread, dumbfoundead (who made the claim that the Sixers have only beaten mediocre teams) that the Lakers have faced even worse competition than Philadelphia has.

The Lakers couldn't cover that spread, either.  And the Bulls didn't have Boozer in the lineup at that time.
