Lebron James is 1000x better than Michael Jordan

Jordan is better, he never left the Bulls he won with the team he was dealt with and they ruled. Lebron left his original team and had to team up with other supers to win, and he only won once with his supers. While Jordan accumalated 6, Lebron 1.

Even if he wins this one its only 2, Jordan 6

All stats, accomplishments, etc., throw 'em in the trash, bottom line who won more rings. The man and still the greatest MJ

I definitely enjoyed watching the drama of a Jordan involved Finals than a modern day Lebron involved Finals. Hands down. Just my opinion

My greatest enjoyment this year in this 2012-2013 NBA season would be to watch the Heat lose the Finals. What a satisfaction it would truly be.

To add to this Jordan was undefeated in the Finals everytime he went he cleaned house and won, how many times has Lebron been there 4? only 1 ring. how can Lebron be a 1000x better you ask? I rest my case MJ is better  LOL

Jordan was 1-9 in playoff games before Pippen. Got swept in the first round twice before Pippen. Jordan had 2 Hall Of Famers play with him. Rodman and Pippen. Jordan was just a better scorer in my opinion. Lebron is just a mixture of Magic and Jordan. Every star needs help to win Championships. They cant do it by themselves. Kevin Durant is a good example. Look what happened when Westbrook went down.

Jordan was also facing much better teams in the Eastern Conference before he got help to make him 1-9.  Facing the dominant Celtics and Pistons of the 80's will do that to you

Jordan left his team.... he went to play baseball.... and when he left his team still still went to the eastern conference semifinals both years. So Lebron left for free agency, like EVERYONE does these days, but since people want to hate him so much, its a big deal. Also his last year on the cavs they had the best record in the nba, then he left and they were the number one pick in the lottery immediately, and havent even been competitive since.

It would be silly to say right now that Lebron is clearly better than jordan, however, you cant look at jordans whole career and compare it to lebron so far, lebron has 8-10 years left and at least 4-6 more prime years. If the heat win this year, lebron would have as many rings at this age than jordan did. would also have as many finals mvps, and 1 more regular season MVP than jordan. all of his playoff stats are very comparable to jordans playoff stats as well.

Its just amazing everything he does is criticized. He single handedly took over the game in the fourth quarter last night, then he misses a big shot and has a bad turnover, then chris bosh finally makes a big play and ray allen hits a giant 3 pointer. Im guessing steve kerr or john paxson never hit a big 3 to help jordan out huh? just ridiculous. Besides, I dont care who you are, say whatever you want about who the best player ever is, Kobe, Jordan, Lebron.... you dont want any of those guys taking a THREE with the game on the line. None of them are known for shooting 3's.

All that being said. If im picking ONE player to start an all time franchise I will take Lebron. He is the best athlete I have ever seen and he is so underrated as a leader. Just because he can do what Jordan and Kobe does without putting in as much effort as they had to, doesnt mean he doesnt try or care.

and as far as the crying and fouls go. Lebron gets absolutely murdered and theres no call, if he does as much as shoulder shrug everyone flips out that he is crying. However, tim duncan was bitching and crying all game and noone ever criticized him about a damn thing.Keep in mind Duncan had 25 points at half time and finished with 30... if Lebron would have done that, people would be going insane about how lebron didnt show up in the 2nd half and hes no good and he cant win. And noone will argue that Duncan in one of the all time greats

Jordan had good players around him for the 2nd 3-peat, but the roster of the first three, especially the team that beat the Lakers IN 5, was not that good.  Jordan, Pippen, Grant, Cartright and a mix of BJ Armstong with John Paxson. 

This thread is filled with arguments that Jordan had many great players around him.  Of course he did, for the 2nd 3-peat; and by the way, the Bulls STEAMROLLED people throughout the finals. 

Take a look at how stacked that Phoenix Suns team was.  Michael and the Bulls rolled them in 6.

The same year the Bulls got Pippen, they also drafted Horace Grant. 

The 80s Pistons' team was quite stacked.  Prior to the Pippen/Grant/Armstrong Bulls, they faced better teams.  Michael hadn't quite developed his shot either.  His game changed. 

In games 6, this past week, we saw LeBron turn it over, and immediately blame whoever he wanted to AGAIN.  He thought of as being one of the best, it's quite pathetic that he doesn't look to take the last shot ore often.  What's even more pathetic about Lebron james, is his never ending attitude of blame coinciding with arrogance. 

Lebron's a great talent.  He can pass, and he's a good rebounder.  He still sucks as a scorer.  The league will adjust to him and draw more charges as he tends to "Clutz" and "bully" his way to the basket. 

Also, he's just not as likeable as MJ.  Bird, Michael, Magic, Alajuwon, Barkley are all likeable stars.   Lebron's harder to root for; they threw a party before they even won anything, and he didn't even tell the Cleveland organization where he was headed prior to that fiasco on network TV. 

This is my opinion, but I look at Lebron as being a strong version of "scottie Pippen."  He's a nice player, but he's not the greatest.  I'd take Hakeem, MJ, Magic, Bird, kareem and Oscar over him if I were to start a team. 

@Tafter, no problem with your opinion, the party thing and the way he left cleveland was not very smart. Im sure thats something he wishes he didnt do that way. All im saying is the only thing people talk about is jordan and his 6 rings, when noone remembers he couldnt do garbage for 7 years. Then you say he developed his shot and his game changed. Well Lebron is at the same age now that Jordan was when "his game developed and changed" so why does everyone act like he cant rip off the same run? he has already been to the finals 3 straight years, and he is about to have a second ring at the same age jordan got his second ring.

and by the way, lebron has taken the blame for every single time his team has ever lost, whether he gets a triple double, scores 50, or scores 10, he never points fingers

Its almost impossible to compare eras in any sport but I will take MJ.

I believe that is really more of his game.

The year mike retired after the first 3 rings, they bulls actually added quite a few quality players to help them supplement the loss.  It was not all Scottie Pippen; however, Pippen had one hell of a year that season.  One of the good players they added was a man by the name of Tony Kukoc.  At the time, he was considered Europes best player perhaps besides Petrovic.  Kukoc made the bulls better instantly.  Another player they added, was Ron Harper.  The Bulls may have won 75 games had Micheal not taken the emotional sebatical of having lost his father from, ironically enough as I state this on this forum, sports gambling.  The year the cav's lost Lebron, the added virtually nobody.  In fact, the got worse, as they weren't prepared for his absence.  At least the 94 Bulls knew ahead of time.  It may not have been announced until after season tickets went on sale, but only an idiot would think that the Bulls didn't know he wasn't going to be around.  I have such stong knowledge of this bulls team as I grew up watching this bulls team develop.  For those of you too young to have seen it, it was quite amazing. 

As a side note, people talk about Rodman as if he was on the team for longer than he was.  It was just 2 years people.  Horace Grant was an unsung hero for that team.  Micheal created so many opportunities for guys to be open for 3's like Craig Hodges and John Paxson.  Scottie had many open looks b/c of MJ obviously.  But I do think that people forget how T Kukoc and R. Harper improved the team.  Ron Harper was a beast with the LA Clippers.  Every year in the early 90's, Harper and D wilkins were always a threat to MJ's scoring titles.  In '94, Harper was far from washed up. 

I'm not against Lebron.  He's an awesome athlete.  But he's not as good as MJ.  BTW, it doesn't matter that he's just the best during this era, and perhaps not as good as Alojuwon, MJ, etc.  He's still fun to watch.  Comparing is too tough to do, and it's more or less, a just a fun conversation.  It's not meant to be take as serious or as exxagerated as the opening post on this thread. 

BTW, there's one regret, I think all NBA fans of the 90s have:  Houston Rockets VS Chicago Bulls Never happened. 

I actually think the Rockets would have beaten the bulls, and that's touch for me to say being such a huge Bulls fan for my entire life.

Being able to witness what lebron just did, brings tear in my eyes, and im not even kidding. This is so beautiful. How can a player be this talented. This is unbeliveable, im gonna quit the typing now, coz nothing can describe how good this man is. What a gift to the world. I am now crying.
