The only reason why he&#x27;s even considering it is cuz he wants to improve his public image that took a beat down for his "decision".  It&#x27;s not bout mannin up w him.  If that were the case, he would have never embarrassed those poor people in Cleveland as well as himself like that.

I feel that this would be the perfect year for Lebron to join since he has better chances to win this year compared to the previous years. He's facing a power dunker just the same as himself. It's obvious that one of the reason he hasn't joined the previous years was because he knew that he couldn't win. Dunk competition needs a big boost with it's excitement and I feel Lebron will heighten the hype.

I agree that he will make it more exciting for sure, no doubt.  It&#x27;s just he has that attitude of "I&#x27;m above this" and that is why i don&#x27;t think he will enter the dunk contest but only to improve his public image.

Ha, the dunk contest is a joke.. you realize that Brandon Jennings is competing and he only has 2 statistical dunks this year, right?  The dunk contest is dead.

What is it to prove? Every dunk possible has already been done.They should have like a H.O.R.S.E. but only allow dunks. That&#x27;s some dunk competition if you ask me.

Lebron has awesome hops but not sure if he has the hangtime. Griffin is also similar, can they hang that little extra time that is needed to pull off something truly creative like Jason Richardson, Carter, MJ and those guys that have at least 1 dunk listed in the top 10 of them all.
Probably why Jordan ranks the best dunker he may only of had a 37-40 inch vertical leap but he could contort his torso in unhuman-like positions whilst in the air and then finish with the dunk.

The Dunk contest is played out......its the same shit every year.  The best Dunk contest i ever saw was with Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady.   Now everyone copies their dunks. Oh and remember when jumping from the foul line was like the automatic 10?  yeah its not like when Dr J and MJ did it.  Anyways Lebron doesnt need to join the Dunk contest to prove anything.  Championships mean more than the dunk contest.

yeh I got that full 2000 dunk contest on the comp "It's Over!" 'It's over ladies and gentleman" Kenny smith was beside himself that day.
Would have been such an awesome night to be in the building and the anticipation that was in the arena awaiting for Carter's 1st dunk

even the players were like kids sitting on the court awaiting to see what dunk he was gonna come out with. That dunk between the legs with McGrady bouncing it to him was just sick, the stuff legends are made of. Too bad he never pushed himself to the limit like the one's that succeed do.
