I've been plenty critical of him (he has brought a lot of it on himself), but you haters have to move on.  

Let's take everyone back to when Wade pretty much gave Spoelstra the finger.  They were left for dead MORE than once in the playoffs.

They get no credit because they are "supposed to win," but what they did this year is pretty amazing.  Did I mention they had to deal with the Bosh injury?

Lebron made a decision that the lane was going to be his after game 1.  OKC couldn't guard him and it screwed up their entire plan.....and others on the Heat took advantage.  If you don't think Lebron was the alpha dog on a championship team, you're just lying to yourself.  That's OK.  Just admit it.

Hats off to the Heat.  They got it done.

LeBron WAS brilliant in these playoffs, more power and credit to him.

Kidd punched his wife and nobody hates him. Patrick kane punched a taxi driver nobody hates him. Player brings gun to his locker and nobody hates them. It's funny how Lebron comes out on tv and has parade, celebration and becomes the number one enemy for many of the people. He would have been better off if he had killed someone.

BTW he did not even ask if you like him or not.

bet gl seriously get off lebrons nuts, he saidhe was brilliant which he was but doesnt need to give u a reason why he doesnt  like him so get over it. i dont like him eitha but i recognize how good he is.. its like u defend this guy so much and it hurts ur feelings when some 1 says they dont like him

His game 6 against Boston was so magnificent it silences the haters and has them jump ship in support of The King. He jokingly promised ...not 6, not 7 at which point he had to kind of catch himself. And hell be able to do it post Wade with another reincarnatoin of the Miami Heat. I think 5 is a reasonable amount. 
He also earned a huge clutch level status with this run.

What nonsense. Just a throwaway comment by James. Not even mildly inflammatory by most reasonable standards. Far worse has been uttered by many an athlete or celebrity, but most of them simply don't have the national exposure LBJ does, that's all.

Whatever you think of him, it is decidedly clear that LBJ has shown tremendous self-restraint and composure considering the heavy scrutiny and consistent barrage of criticism he has been under for several years now. So he says a few innocuous words that apparently "offend" you? Who cares? I don't.

He should be commended on his extremely patient and non-confrontational handling of critics these last few years, not vilified.

Couldn't agree more, the man has shown such incredible mental and emotional composure.
Sure he got rightful (in his own words) scrutiny after the finals last season, but that does not diminish how much he had to deal with and rise above this season.
And to turn in such a historic playoffs and finals series. Incredible.

Just incredible.

I don't like him either.  But many can't separate the person from the basketball player.  To deny his brilliance in these playoffs is to stick your head in the sand.

I tip my hat to Lebron, he was spectacular throughout the postseason.  With the Bosh injury, Wade looking like a broke-down version of himself, an incompetent head coach, and clowns like Mario Chalmers as his teammates, Lebron took it all on his shoulders and came out on top.  He lost me as a fan for the past two years, but slowly removed my "hate" for him with his play.  There's nothing left to say, he took on all comers and dominated when his team needed him, playing under heavy pressure.  It's time to move on Lebron haters.

The Heat will win it next 5 years at least. They are signing Garnett and Allen to 1 year deals. Every ageing superstar that wants to go out with a RING are getting in line. Not only is the other guy a superstar but the most unselfish superstar i have ever seen.

I don't think the problem was ever with Lebron Hutch...its with how Stern runs the NBA that has everyone in a tizzy....ever wonder why Billy Walters stays away fron the NBA??? Now i know why...

It just goes to show you ...the old saying always remain true......you can't please EVERYBODY....and the folks that dont like bron bron are probably HUGE fans of kobe or some other star in the game and BRON is a seen as a threat to their star player place on the superstar "totum-pole"

Did you forget the amount of money this guy makes?? Give me that kind of money and you can make fun of me all you want. Im not denying that the guy is a great player. Im just putting out the reason why so many people probably hate/don't like the guy. You put on a show about your decision and predict multiple championships, then you should be ready for some criticism IF you fail. You may not care about his comments but obviously some people didn't like it.

You must be dumb if you dont understand the post. Obviously doing physical harm to an individual is bad. People will look at that situation and say man what a terrible thing to do and sure it will change their opinion of Kobe. The thing with Lebron's comment is that it was basically a personal attack to a lot of people. It was a im rich, youre poor and youre gonna have to deal with it everyday comment. 

After these playoffs theres no doubt in my mind that LBJ is the best basketball player. But he is still an arrogant prick.

It remains an extremely juvenile and flimsy reason to "hate" someone of whom you don't even have any personal knowledge or insight. Strongly media driven narrative to which many have simply fallen victim. If you choose to feel personally affronted or slighted by an NBA player's offhanded comment, well, that's your prerogative. Envy can be very harmful.

LBJ has handled 99.9% of this withering criticism with aplomb, but his detractors will only focus on the 3-4 comments which make them fume. He has also apologized for the "Decision", stated he should have handled things differently with Cleveland and admitted he was "immature" last season. However, many simply choose to ignore his mea culpas. 
Can't a man grow and change? Or is forever going to be stuck as that 25 year old "Decision" person in your eyes? 

Some criticism? Dude has been the Darth Vader of the NBA for 2 years. It's beyond occasional criticism. It's been a torrential downpour with every play and shot dissected beyond belief. I also think people should apply some context to the comments you chose to magnify. Recall that he said this right after the Game 6 Finals loss to Dallas. Is he not human? Is he not supposed to feel hurt or emotional at that moment? Is he a robot?

By the way, look up KG and some of his comments and actions over the years---he is, by far, the biggest arrogant prick in the NBA. Not even close.
